I stayed here with some family over Christmas and it truly is a wonderful place. Even during the winter the cottage was so warm and cozy and catered to all of our needs. It is located on a hill with a beautiful view of the countryside but also not far from Sligo town. The owners are so welcoming and helpful if you need anything during your stay. Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Sligo.

The cottage is clean and very comfortable and was a great base. Also, Sligo town was accessible on foot for us non car drivers! We enjoyed a day cycling aroung Lough Gill to see Yeats' lake isle of Inisfree on Lough Gill. Bikes were provided by Hugh, our ever helpful Landlord. We also enjoyed a walk from the town along the river /lake to return to the cottage. I heartily recommend both Old Farm cottage and Sligo for your next holiday!
Perfectly located, this old fashion cottage offers all the atmosphere you look for when visiting Ireland but also combines the modern touches we long for after a long day visiting the nearby town of Sligo or the enchanting countryside, by letting you relax in front of the fire while watching a Dvd or playing a video game! The welcome basket was a real treat and the children loved the garden.
Stayed here for 5 nights with our two young children and would highly recommend it. It's located on the outskirts of Sligo town but feels like you're in the heart of the country at the same time. The house looks down on knocknarea and the lakes on either side. There is a large garden with a nice sized swing that our kids loved, as well as the hens and the sheep roaming over the fence.
The house has three good sized rooms and is clearly very well looked after by its owners. Hugh and Catriona are very helpful, friendly and welcoming.
Overall I would rate this house as a fantastic place to stay near Sligo town and surrounding attractions, especially for young families.
