I have now stayed at Cú Chulainns B&B three times and cannot fault it, the place is utterly charming, affordable and very close to all amenities – Emer is a very warm host and has plenty of recommendations of what to do and where to go while in the area (side note: she puts on a very lovely breakfast). Would highly recommend!!

Really nice basic B&B above a quiet pub on the outskirts of town, a short walk to the Centre. Would stay again. Well furnished room. Our room was ensure, but some share a bathroom. Good value for money.

A family run pub/B&B, located within view of the train station and a short walk from the Town centre. My room was clean and cosy with flat screen TV, tea/coffee making facilities, central heating and USB outlet; ironing facilities to hand on the landing.
I had an undisturbed nights sleep with a freshly cooked 'Full Irish' breakfast in the morning though other options, such as vegetarian were available, if required.
Plenty of on street parking if driving and the on-site bar is a bonus.

My mom, husband & I stayed here on our Ireland trip. The room was large, clean & comfortable. Everything was decorated nicely. Breakfast cooked to order was great, and town center was just a short walk.

The B&B is located superbly, if you plan to arrive by train. It is a few minutes from the train station, roughly the same distance (and direction) from a shopping plaza, five minutes from a bike rental place for the Greenway, and only about 10 minutes from the city centre. The family room (with an en-suite) was very clean and cozy, and we barely heard the pub noise from downstairs.

The staff was a mixed bag. When we arrived, we got the key from the bartender, with whom we didn't interact afterwards, but he made us feel like we were intruding. On the other hand, the breakfast lady (and the breakfast) was excellent. She was a trove of information, always happy to share, and she cooks very well.

All in all, we were very happy with our stay, but a bit surprised by the steep price, even by Westport standards. Next time, we'll consider alternatives to hotels in this city.
