We stayed at the Pier Hotel one night on our 10 day trip to Ireland. When we got there, we were informed that there was a Hen Party, some Rugby teams, a 21st birthday party so it would be pretty rowdy. We left the bar at 12:30 or so and went to our room. The music from the private party was so loud that we couldn't fall asleep. Finally it ended, but the party ended up in our hallway. There was no way we could sleep--I called down to the desk to nicely ask if they could do something about it, and they said that someone would be up but no one came. We really weren't able to sleep between the drunks in the hallway and the ones in the street. Also, the rooms on the web site looked much larger than their actual size--ten by ten at most. We mentioned this at check out, and all that was said was "Sorry." I was thinking maybe a free breakfast, a discount on our room. This was by far our worst night in Ireland. However, the front desk worker did recommend an awesome restaurant, The Corn Market.
