We enjoyed staying here very much. We got a room with our own entrance and it was nice and clean. The breakfast was very nice as well and we were met with great hospitality. Helen also gave us a map and recommandations about what to do in Kilkenny and where to find good restaurants. We stayed there for two nights and if we go back we will definitely stay at Helens B&B again.

"One room left. If you want it, take it and lock door. Will be back in an hour." This was the note in the window when we arrived at the Sheehan's Choc Mhuire on a quiet street off the main road into Kilkenny . Pretty trusting! The room was quite ample, spotless, comfortable bed, and with a well-equipped bath. We quickly took the room and headed off to wander through the town. Come evening we returned to meet Helen and Don who have been in the hospitality business for nearly a quarter century. We visited a bit in the evening, and then more over a delicious Irish Breakfast in the morning when Helen phoned ahead to make reservations for us in Rathdrum. Later we discovered we had left a sweater/jacket behind; Helen wrapped and mailed it to us. We were pleased with all aspects of our stay, felt fortunate to have found the trusting welcome, and would happily return for a longer visit.

If you are lucky enough to stay with Helen and her Husband you will have a great time. Helen goes out of her way to make your stay the very best. We only stayed one night but would have stayed two nights but Helen was Fully booked. We had been away from home for three wees before staying here and this was our first nights sleep. Would have to be our Favourite B & B In Ireland. The room is spacious and spotless, with a large bathroom. Very quite and within walking distance to the Kilkenny Castle and other attractions. Helen goes out of her way and will give you a list of the best place to eat and what to see. We did everything on her list and would highly recommend it. Her Husband does a mean Breakfast all I can say is do not eat the night before as you will get more than enough to eat. Helen is very warm and welcoming you will get great value for the price. Stay with Helen and you will get very high Quality and I would say the value you will find. We could not fault the place. Thanks so much Helen and hope to see you again. Jenny & Ross Schuster From Australia

Room Tip: Only one room and it is large very Comfortable and spotless. If you are lucky to get the room you will not be disappointed.

A nice B&B about a 10/15 minute walk away from Kilkenny town centre just along the main rd(Castle RD).Helen was very friendly and made suggestions as to food and drink but then left us to our own devices. Lovely breakfast - choice of Full Irish or continental - fruit salad, scones etc - lovely! Very helpful. cost €35/ person/ night in high season.

We toured Ireland for 2 weeks and Cnoc Mhuire was one of our favorite bed and breakfasts. Helen Sheehan was warm and welcoming and very informative. Our room was spacious, spotless, quiet and within walking distance of the Kilkenny Castle.
We would definitely stay here again.
