The hotel is exclusive. The staff are amazing, warm and welcoming. We stayed sat 28th of april in the" paddy hillery" room. The room was magnificent, spacious and luxurious. Food was superb-breakfast was just the best. The grounds are outstandiWg.we will be back and will highly reccomend you.

The Ballyseede is great! Don't shy away because of the eerie and drab picture views online.. it's so neat there. Our room was beautiful and the bathroom was huge! Great shower and tub. The decor is old and very cool. They also have a hotel dog or two. The food is good and the breakfast room is old and also very interesting. Hotel staff is good too.. but the service is just slightly lacking. They seemed to all be in a rush. They also have two donkeys in the field. Not sure why. They are friendly and just graze around. Good stay, would definitely like to go again. Our room was the Clancy room.

Room Tip: Clancy room had a big and comfy bed and large bathroom.

My husband and I spent 1 night at Ballyseede Castle the night of April 1, 2012. A wonderful experience, very small inn environment but the opulence of the Castle. The room was very large, the bathroom was very large, a very comfy 4 post bed, the only complaint about the room was that it was on a lower level and we had no view. Esther checked us in and was also our server at breakfast the next morning and was very hospitable and offered us an alternative to our plan for day because of weather. The dining room was most elegant, dinner in one segment that had period furnishings and beautifully retained for the period of the Castle and breakfast through a door with another elegant room.

Room Tip: Opt for any room other than the lower level.

We knew we were in for a special treat when we had to step over the sleeping Irish Wolfhound (the puppy Higgins, the size of a small horse) to enter the lobby. The Manager's pet has the run of the small grounds, and he added a warm and cozy touch to the magnificant hotel property. The puppy's presence was emblematic of the personal touch of the Managers throughout the property, making it a most comfortable stay -- photographs aound the sitting room made one feel right at home. Then again, if you are turned off by the notion of a dog in a hotel, then this may not be the place for you. The staff was most attentive and alert. I cannot opine on the value proposition since I was the lucky beneficiary of a gift certificate covering my visit to the castle hotel. I would certainly love to return to the property some day.

Ballyseede Castle was quite a treat. We stayed there for two nights as we traveled through the area with friends. The hospitality was superb! The first night we had dinner in the drawing room and the staff was more than attentive! We recieved a tour of the celebration rroms and a history of the castle and grounds, complete with a true ghost story! I could have moved in right in with the beautiful furnishings and warm atmosphere.
This setting has the air of a real manor home, complete with resident Irish Wolfhound, Higgins, and his side kick, Einstein.

Room Tip: Ask for a room upstairs, and not dwon in the Paddy Way area.
