I have to recommend. My favorite place I have been in Kerry, although it is weather dependent. Might not be as much fun in the pouring rain. The prices seemed a bit steep for tours that I was looking at and don't frequently run in the off season and so I just ended up driving from Kate Keerney's cottage as it was the off season and mid week. Make sure you have a small car and the road at many points in nothing more than a path. You would not ever be able to drive in the high season it would be impossible. Also if the tours are too expensive or you don't have the time you can just drive to Kate Keerney's cottage and walk from there into the best part of the gap, which would only take about 20-30 minutes, and is worth it.

The Gap of Dunloe is very average. If you are passing then by all means stop and stare but you won't remember what you've seen. Most people just take a few photographs and drive on.

Well worth the tiny roads you will travel to get here. Some of the back roads are not for the faint of heart as you can barely get one car down them, let alone let an oncoming car pass you. Although, once you get to The Gap it's amazing.

Great views, peaceful, even a little mysterious. We have been through by car years ago, and by pony more recently. Loved it both ways. Pony cart the best way, however. I would love to have the time to walk through some day.
