Stayed here for one night in late April, and was very impressed with the hotel. Staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming from the minute we walked in the door.

The hotel itself is located in the centre of the town, 2 mins walk from all the pubs and restaurants. The double room we had was adequate size, nice jacuzzi bath and a powerful shower. Didn't get a chance to have a drink in the bar but it seemed a lovely place.

Would highly recommend a stay here, great hotel.

Located right in the center of Killarney within walking distance to pubs and shopping. Lovely, up-to-date rooms with free wi-fi in both the lobby and rooms. The dinners were pretty good and breakfasts very good. We were on a CIE tour so this hotel may be difficult to book otherwise.

Room Tip: Our room was on the top floor overlooking the town. The room had garret windows. Very charming.

A group of us stayed here for a night the end of February 2012. We had got a great rate of €75 per person for the night and this was for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast. Our rooms were of a good size, we had a triple room which had 3 single beds and this was very spacious while our friends had twin rooms and these were also very spacious. The bathrooms were a bit on the small side, however, the hotel had supplied plenty of towels. We had a Jacuzzi bath which we never got to try. We had dinner in the restaurant, the menu had a great variation and something to suit everyone’s taste buds. The food was served hot and the service was great. Breakfast was also in the restaurant which was a buffet- great selection of juices, cereals, fruit and croissants to mention a few and the hot selection had Sausages, Hash Browns, tomatoes, Bacon and Fried Eggs, but I am sure they would also do a scrambled or boiled egg if requested. Also in the hot selection were pancakes and waffles!! The hotel is in a great location, close to everything and I would stay here again.

I stayed here for 2 evenings with my husband while on a CIE tour of Ireland. We very much enjoyed our time at this hotel.

Some comments:
-The hotel itself is welcoming and well-appointed. They've designed it with tourists in mind, certainly, as you get that traditional Irish ambience when you look around.
-Our room was lovely, with a beautiful large window and a view of the mountains in the distance. Beds were a bit firm, but we still slept well! The jetted tub was a nice extra, as well.
-We experienced great service during our stay. The front desk staff were very welcoming and friendly. For the most part, our service in the restaurant was good as well-coffee/tea service was a bit slow at one of our breakfasts but otherwise, absolutely no complaints.
-The location is ideal. It's right in town-and within a 2-3 minute walk, you have your selection of great pubs.

I have no complaints about our stay at this property-and would highly recommend it to others!

The common areas are gorgeous with carved dark hardwoods & beautiful stained glass, even on the doors to the toilets. The dining room is intimate & has a magical castle feel; even the ceilings are carved. The surroundings are superior to the food however. I know it’s Ireland but they served my pasta dish with a side of potatoes.

The upstairs guest rooms are nice & offer both full shower curtains as well as Jacuzzi jets. The water feels wonderful after a long flight or bus ride. The rooms in the sister hotel, Killarney Towers seemed bigger to me though when we stayed there four years earlier.

I do hate the electrical system. In order to activate the main power in the room you have to insert your rom key card into a slot by the door where it must remain. I always forgot, then stood there for a few seconds fuming because the lights didn’t turn on when I flicked the switch. It made it impossible to power electronic devices like cell phones & lap tops while you were out of the room. It ended up not mattering that much because there was something wrong with the Wi-Fi & everybody had trouble connecting anyway. Many went to nearby pubs / other spots to use their computers which was annoying.

The hotel is conveniently located & gives visitors full walking access to the whole town. We checked out a few pubs & were awed by St. Mary’s Cathedral.

One minor downside is the lack of on property amenities. If you want to work out or use the pool, you have to walk across the street to the sister hotel, Killarney Towers, to use their facilities. You can change there but you do need to bring or buy (€2.50) a bathing cap if you would like to swim.

The staff is delightful & eager to please. I wanted a massage but had time restrictions. The girls at the front desk tried 5 different properties to get me a booking. Alas it didn’t work but I appreciated the effort. My cousin wanted to go horseback riding & they were able to arrange that for him.
