Review of Quay Street

Quay Street

The pubs are all the same and was hard to find seating because of the rugby games on TV. So glad they aren't allowed to smoke inside anymore but wish they weren't all standing right by the front doors. You have to walk through them to get inside. The food is all pub type fare and not bad but expect to see nothing but.

Some of the best live music will be found on this street. And the best poured Guinness at The Quays Bar and Restaurant.

We LOVED Quay street! Such a lovely area with wonderful shops, restaurants, coffee shops and musicians. We spent considerable time here and loved the vibe. Definitely worth spending some time here on your trip to Galway!

There's a lot of great restaurants and shops on this street, but also a lot of touristy areas - so just be mindful of that. It's still a nice, but busy, street to stroll down, especially if it's your first time to Galway or Ireland.

My wife and I have looked for a place like this to shop. I think it had everything we we're looking for! The Galway Woolen Market had great wares! We found gewat prices for quality sweaters and accessories!
