Loved this hotel during the first part of the driving portion of our 9 day trip. Was easy to find, had ample parking for us, and our stay came with a lovely daily breakfast. Location is excellent. Right in city center - not more than a quick 10 minute walk to anything you want to get to. One minute walk into Eyre Square. Located directly across from tourist center and main bus terminal - so you literally have to walk across the street to join most day tours.

Our room was large, beds comfy, hotel overall nicely maintained and quiet. Kind of a throwback feel to the rooms - not modern styled - more like staying in an old rambling house. You can tell that many locals eat lunch here or come in for tea to do afternoon business. We enjoyed two breakfasts here - with very large assortment of selections. Ate lunch here as well, also priced well with lots to offer.

This was the only hotel out of the 5 that we stayed in during our Ireland trip that did not have US plugs built in. They did have adaptors you could borrow from the front desk.

Nice room, nicely fitted hotel, good staff. Breakfast was great - the continental was plenty but the cooked service was sublime. Nothing too opulent, but just everything you could want and at a nice standard too. Accidentally left a shirt and power adapter in the room: they were able to organise and have it sent on back to Australia.

The Park House Hotel is a high-end property located just off Eyre Square in Galway's compact city center. The quay, Shop Street and best pubs for music are all within a 15-minute walk and the friendly hotel staff really seem to go out of their way to make guests enjoy their visits. The breakfasts included with our 270-euro, two-night stay were tasty, and we sampled a decent seafood pot pie and fish and chips in the hotel bar one night while Ireland were getting thrashed by Germany in a World Cup soccer qualifier. Regarding parking issues brought up in several other reviews: the well-marked lot is in the back of the hotel, and the concierge and desk help were very helpful guiding us in and helping us dispose of the car for the duration of our stay. Galway's small size and one-way street system makes driving a pain. If you need to get your bearings before check-in, stick the car in the Corrib Shopping center lot (2 euros per hour) and walk the downtown grid.

We happened onto this lovely hotel Oct. 3rd on our way into Galway city center. Fortunately they had a vacancy and we were even able to park in the small lot directly behind the hotel. The hotel is nicely decorated, the beds were very comfy and bathroom modern ( enjoyed the towel warmer). Breakfast was the best we had in our 5 days in Ireland. We also enjoyed the pub and Irish music right across the street that evening. Would definitely stay at this hotel the next time we are in Galway.

We really enjoyed the accomodations at this hotel. We did B&B's everywhere but in Galway, and we really enjoyed the luxury of this hotel, even if for just one night. I will say it was hard to find on our first drive through the city, but then the city spit us out and re-routed us to the semi-secret entrance for the parking garage. Beware that you might have to look twice for parking, even though you can see the hotel right on the street.
