“Go See Tony and Jeff!!”
Reviewed 1 April 2012

This is a must see in Temple Bar!! My husband and I love this little Irish gem for several reasons. First, it has a wonderful friendly staff, that is always willing to help guide you through the variety of beers and whiskeys they have one hand! Also, the vibe is also exciting, there are lots of people, but you never feel too crowded. This little pub has live music upstairs most nights, and is on the outskirts of the Temple Bar area so you don't feel like an outsider! Go to this bar, and have a blast...as we always do!!!

“Great Pub. Lots of different Irish Whiskeys to try”
Reviewed 22 March 2012

My husband and I popped in to the Palace for a drink before dinner. The decor is warm and cozy and the staff and patrons are super friendly. They have an impressive array of Irish whiskeys. My husband wanted to try something new but wasn't sure which to choose. The bar man gave him a small sample of a couple to try, no charge. My husband ordered one of them and could not stop commenting on how wonderful it was.

We met some great locals who we found out visit our area in Florida quite often. The gentleman even had a picture of one our favorite beach bars as the screen saver on his I-phone. It's truly a small world.

A must for at least one pint while you are in the Temple Bar area of Dublin.

“One of the best pubs in Dublin”
Reviewed 20 March 2012

Family run pub - renowned for great Guinness. Home over the years to some of Dublin's literary greats. Do look at the lamp and footpath outside the entrance to confirm this. Enjoy

“Best pint of guinness in the world!!!”
Reviewed 8 March 2012

The Palace Bar is a great Dublin institution. Its been around since the mid-1800s and hasn't changed a whole lot since then. But while its decor is refreshingly honest, its the pint of Guinness which is the greatest attraction. You won't find a better pint in Dublin, even at the Guinness Brewery which does a great pint.

“A must when in Dublin”
Reviewed 17 January 2012

This is a great pub, very traditional a typical irish pub with a nice atmosphere. We popped in here for a drink after a day sightseeing an so glad we did. Full of people just going about there day to day business, not touristy at all. We heard one man saying that he had been drinking in this place for 40 years! I think I was sitting in 'his seat' as when we got up to leave he couldn't wait to get into my chair! If you are looking for somewhere that is 'traditionally irish' then the Palace is a must!
