The decor is very entertaining with photos of early film stars and posters. Our waiter was quite pleasant and recommended an excellent bottle of Bordeaux. We took advantage of the early bird menu and shared the beet and goat cheese salad. For entrees we had the duck confit and baked hake. Both were prepared perfectly and pared well with the wine. For dessert we shared the vanilla creme puffs with chocolate sauce. Perfectly sized dor two people. Overall, we were very pleased with the food and service. We considered this one of the best dining experiences that we had during our two week stay in Ireland.

Went in for a dinner and were disappointed with the lack of choice first. All four of us were not too impressed with the mains, it was eatable but not of it fantastic. Still had a great night - service and atmosphere were a compensation and they have a solid wine list. If I come back it will be just drinks or a lunch.

during storm Emma, we stumbled across this gem of a restaurant whilst looking for somewhere which was actually open.
As we looked at the menu, a couple came out and said...the food in there is excellent.

We had the early bird 3 course menu. It wasn't expensive, in fact for the quality of food, it was a fantastic bargain.

The best meal I have had in Dublin to date.

Lovely meal in advance of concert in the Olympia. We went for the early bird. I ordered the steak and while it was a bit on the small side it was done exactly as requested. Service was attentive. The Caesar salad to start was excellent. I had visited at Christmas on a girls weekend and I can really recommend the monkfish!
