The noise from the street came through the window as if the window was open. There were 3 of us in the room, none of us got very much sleep due to the noise. The a/c didn't work at all. The bathroom sink faucets were not screwed down in the sink, so it was very difficult to turn on the water handle - and there was NO hot water (sink). The fan in the bathroom did not work. The t.v. remote control did not work.

This hotel has a great location just off the top of Grafton Street in Dublin city centre. The room was spacious and clean although basic. No hairdryer.
A major downfall was one 1 light in the room worked. There was 3 other lights in the room but none of this worked.
Quick and easy check in and out. quiet building.
Worth staying here for its cleanliness and location.

Dear CarolTwomey,

Thank you for taking time to write a review of our hotel, we greatly value our guests feedback.

We are really pleased that you found us to be a great location, your rooms clean and spacious and a quick and easy check in and out.

I am sorry you had difficulty with your lights, we have checked every light in every bedroom since your review was posted however we are a little baffled as we can't find a room with none of the main lights working. We do however have some of our light switches on the desk so we are wondering whether this was the problem that you couldn't find them? I would really appreciate it if you could email me direct at laura.stopforth@travelodge.ie so we can identify which room you stayed in so that I can try to ensure a similar situation does not arise again.

Kind regards,

Laura Stopforth

Stayed for one night, great city center location. A little dated, only one lift in the building which is frustrating at busy times. I would advise booking a room on a higher floor on the end of the corridor on a side street to avoid noise. Only issue I had with noise was people going in or out the room and the door banging which made the wall vibrate. Disappointed there was no restaurant or bar but was close enough to walk to others. Room was very basic with a light switch on the wall and no light? only lights were the side bed lights. which were very dim. No iron or phone which was weird. Other than that staff were friendly.

Room Tip: Higher floors on the end bottom of the corridor to avoid noise.

Excellent situation with friendly staff, good sized room cleaned daily. A short walk from the city centre along interesting and lively streets. Coffee/tea facilities replenished daily. Typical Travelodge - comfortable, clean and attractive hotel.
