Went to see the UCD Orchestra and the Bootleg Beatles perform their tribute to Sgt Peppers. The theatre is within 10 minutes walk from the city centre. It is in a great setting just off the Grand Canal. Plenty of parking, hotels, bar and eateries nearby if visiting. The seats are comfortable and each row is slightly offset which is great as it means all seats have unobstructed views. Bar area is a good size and although it can seem congested before during and after a performance it is well staffed and queues move quickly.
The acoustics in the hall are excellent and it is an impressive modern theatre. Great venue which can only add to any performance.

Attended this theatre to see Brendan Cole's 'All night long' show of strictly fame. Show was AMAZING but this review is about the bord gais theatre. Staff were friendly and enthusiastic. Facilities were great. Tip move up stairs to get a drink less crowded than the foyer. Great photo opps from 2nd and 3rd floor so maybe go in a little earlier and watch sun set. Coffee is ok from a machine would prefer real coffee but im being picky. Seats are great and staff very accomodating for wheelchair users. Would highly recommended using their accessibility team. Great date place. Family and wheelchair friendly. Parking in Q park (Grand Canal Car Park) underneath. Its expensive to park so dont get a shock :)

Visited the Bord Gais to see the charismatic Brendan Cole & his troops . Really good show with some lovely dancing , a great band & two fabulous singers. Brendan put on a great variety with a good mixture of music, dance & a bit of banter. Was really impressed by the level of fitness & atheism of the dancers & their was a great atmosphere within the audience as Brendan kept everyone entertained. If I was to make a criticism I would say that maybe if the show followed a story line of some sort it might be better as sometimes we went from Brendan having the fun with the audience straight into a romantic number so it was a bit of a strange transition. There was also a fast number “what a feeling” with a solo dancer that really didn’t work either. She was a super dancer but did not fit the bill for this number, didn’t do her any favors putting it politely. Anyway I would highly recommend the show & would definitely go back again. The main singer was the high point & he could most certainly hold a full show on his own. Fabulous voice with a personality to match.

I flew in from Edinburgh to see Brendan Cole All Night Long booked my tickets last September for row A to arrive at the theatre to find there was no row A seats only started at C! Front of house staff were unable to offer any help or explanation. Management that was on duty were useless we were told we would be moved to seats elsewhere in the Theatre! Then started a long process of people having to queue to be reallocated a seat I was offered row L but another manager offered me a seat in a box which was better and I did end up with a pretty good view. We were given a complimentary drink at the interval but overall the whole experience was stressful and should never have happened. Two whole rows of people left without the seats they paid for in the front two rows.
Better communication needed between the Theatre and the production company of the show as I feel the whole incident could have been avoided!
Sad to be leaving such s negative review as had an amazing experience when I visited the theatre two years ago.

Thank Andrea B
