Unfortunately, the restaurant closed down after new year's - was one of the best in Dublin with great value for money and authentic Malaysian food.

Popped in here a few times while working in offices across the road, and must say it's one of my favorite places for Asian food in Dublin. The staff are very friendly and attentive, they have a good menu, and the food is really nice and authentic tasting. The setting along the river is rather nice too, especially in the evening. They also do a lunch time buffet on Thursday and Friday, and for the money, it's a pretty good deal.

What a shame that this great little restaurant is not better patronised. Booked a table for Wife and self for 8.00pm on a Saturday night and on arrival couldn't believe that there were two of only eight people in the restaurant area - included including the two "Front of House" staff!
However, albeit with a little trepidation - which we soon found was unwarranted! - we ordered our meal of Malaysian Beef Rendang and Nasi Goreng, .
Our meal was served very quckly and we both agreed that the food was absolutely delicious - and plentiful. We.ve both eaten our choice of dishes at several locations around the world - including Malaysia where we first tasted them - and these were amonst the best we've ever tasted. Our only disappointment was the lack of atmosphere caused by the absence of more Diners.
Excellent food, excellent service, polite and friendly staff, great value for money and an interesting location - this place deserves better!!!.

I have eaten in Swai a number of times now. I started eating there about a year ago prior to taking a trip to SE asia and having heard that it is one of the must try Asian restaurants in the city, I had to try it out.

The starter was amazing with a great taste of Malaysian Satay - Chicken. The main course was perfectly balanced with just enough flavour and spicy hints, not too heavy on any one ingredient and all working together to offer a great taste. We had a bottle of red wine and they have a great selection with the staff knowing what goes with what when asked. Excellent service with good recommendation of food and reasonable price! I look forward to eating in Swai again.
