I stayed here for a mid week event at the Aviva arena
The hotel was in a good location
For the money i paid i was disappointed.
This was expensive but it was in Dublin so i guess this is why it had a high price
The check in process was pretty cold and not so welcoming
the room i had was a good walk up lots of stairs and narrow corridors, i would feel sorry for an elderly person with bags doing the walk
the room was pretty old and smelly, it was in need of a good clean and paint job
breakfast was in the hotel and was extremely poor. the milk was obviously left our far too long as it curdled when added to my tea. i wasn't alone on this as other guested had the same issue.
the cooked breakfast was pretty pathetic with eggs that were not cooked very well at all
Overall this hotel was a disappointment, the only positive was the location
I would not use this hotel again

Hi Ben,
We are so sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. Our prices are amongst the cheapest in this area and we try to keep them as low as possible. Our check-in team were surprised to learn of your experience and will take note of your comments. most of our hundreds of reviews complement our small family run team.
Our hotel is located in listed Georgian buildings so of course, you will have stairs to walk and corridors. this is on our website and those of our booking partners and we always endeavour to look after our elderly visitors with rooms as close to reception as possible so don't worry about them they are well looked after here. Our rooms are spotless cleaned every day yours had a brand new bed so we are sorry we did not meet your standards on this trip.
We have also talked to the kitchen about your breakfast expierence. All our milk is delivered fresh each morning and we are investigating this with our supplier. we received no other complaints though. If you do decide to stay with us again please ask at breakfast for the type of eggs that you require and we will do them for you no problem. Thanks again for the feedback. Good or bad we appreciate it. TLH

We stayed here because we were going to the Irish House Party at the hotel and had to get up early for our flight home the next day. Old Georgian building that is clean and was a great place for us to lay our heads for one night. Nothing fancy but they were friendly. We loved the show and would stay here for the convenience to that alone.

Overall a nice stay. It was located in a nice area - very traditional with large Georgian (?) houses and about a flat ten minutes walk to the Lansdowne Rd stadium and Dart station. It was also quiet. The receptionist was very helpful and nice.

The room was OK, very clean, but the TV a bit small, and the lead on the hairdyrer could have been longer so that you can use the mirror. The room was very clean and had tea and coffee in it and the showers (no baths) had a combined shampoo / conditioner. The curtains have been blackout style as they let in a bit of light.

We did not have breakfast there (€12), nor get a chance to use the bar that closes at 11.

Generally the decor felt a little bit tired.

Our only real complaint was the squeaking floors - and it wasn't even us always doing the squeaking. They were quite apparent when the guests in the neighbouring rooms moved. Moving in the bathroom resulted in quite a bit of a creak that we are sure was heard by others. OK it is a very old building but still a hotel.

Overall pretty good.

Thanks for your review.

unfortunately, our hotel is in an old building and has over time settled leading to the occasional squeaky floorboard. when identified we try and resolve them using our special trained tradesmen who work only on old Georgian buildings like ours. All our rooms have been or are being redecorated so hopefully, you will have a better experience with us the next time.

Nice hotel, parking is extra and you can’t organise in advance which means you may not get parking. Great hotel lovely staff. I would highly recommend the breakfast I had the Creamy scrambled eggs and bacon both mornings. The blonde loved the rashers and lovely small tomatoes . When we stayed it was really hot but there was no air conditioning. The hop on hop off bus collects every morning at 9.30.
Great location we really enjoyed our stay

What the hotel lacks in size is made up for with a dedicated staff that treats you like family. The staff knew me by name! No request was too burdensome - from arranging my House Party eveving, to requesting taxi service or making reservations for excursions. I was traveling alone and after a full day of seminars, I couldn't wait to come back to my hotel, where friendly, caring, and happy people greeted me! The dining room caters to large crowds with substantive meals. Yet, The Den proved to be my favorite place. The minute you walk into it, nostalgia takes over. This is no ordinary bar. The deeply beautifully crafted woodwork, pictures, tables, bar stools welcome you to a simpler time, when friends were waiting to be met, disguised as strangers. This is your neighborhood pub! Brandon, who I secretly have a crush on, is the capable, deft, and truly professional bartender. His wit and ready laugh make all feel welcome. Come have a pint!
