Best location, next to metro
In front of the river, that you can see from the room. 10-15 minutes walk from down town and the largest garden in Dublin
Nice manager, who was keen to fix the misunderstanding created on the advert that the hotel had loung which is bar and not executive lounge
Resturant is making very delicious salad / fatouch

fabulous beer garden area, magic on a sunny day.. The bar is warm with a luxurious feel, lots of large flat screen tvs, long red couches for those who want to lounge and small tables with armchairs for those who want to cosy away in a corner with a book or do some writing or work on the laptop. The bar is a great place to go for a match. There is a large projector screen and the bar is not usually noisy or overly busy, which makes for a very relaxed atmosphere- no competing for screen space or seats and no long queues for drinks at the bar.

The menu is an all-rounder. The best cappuccino I have ever tasted, from Costa & very good pot of tea, which I feel is very important, as lots of places scrimp of the quality of the tea and it really lets the place down. Large range of cocktails also on the menu, including my personal favourite, a berry mojito. The food is just delicious. I tried lots of different dishes on this menu e.g. the chowder, soup of the day, pitta and hummous, fish and chunky chips, platter of hot food, burger and chips - all good quality, well cooked, excellent presentation, During the euros football tournament, the hotel had a themed menu as an extra, to the standard menu, with dishes representing the different countries competing e.g. Netherlands Burger with Edam cheese; Irish pizza (with toppings distinctive to Ireland)....The only let down on the menu is the desserts - there is a very limited choice e.g. Cheesecake, selection of ice-cream, apple pie - I feel they could vary it a bit and add in some different choices like Banoffi or Chocolate Fudge Cake etc.

The service is very good, waiters are friendly.. I'd especially recommend Danny and Luke. Both are very accommodating, friendly and on the button with the orders and their attentiveness.

It's the perfect place to go to relax for a few hours, eat, drink, watch a match, read a book and just soak up the surroundings

One complaint however is that the wifi is just horrible - non-existent really

We stayed almost a year ago for the first time. For a Hilton in a big city, it looks right when you walk in, but there are/were some issues. The rooms are OK. Very nice sized, somewhat modern, but leaves you with a feel that something is missing. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The room price went up substantially in the past year. There is NO Executive lounge which I find a huge, almost deal breaker for me. I have worked hard to attain and maintain a Diamond membership and all I get is two pieces of chocolate and a bottle of water! There is no excuse for not providing a membership room at a so called 5 star in a big city... This particular stay brought an Internet that was unusable for the first day. After countless calls to BT, the problem was fixed, kind of. There still was an intermittent issue, but at least you could get on line. The story changed from person to person. A small (minor) complaint is that the mini bar was so crammed with stuff that a few personal items I wanted to keep cool were impossible to get into the "fridge" . I moved things around and can't wait for the checkout drill of all the stuff that registered (taken) and is still there. Why provide a fridge if you are going to push all the high priced stuff at me? Breakfast was provided in the main dining room and was very good, typical Hilton tradition. On check in (1 PM) our rooms were not ready and we had to wait a half hour in the bar. My associate ordered a sandwich, I passed. I couldn't see spending (US dollars) of $20+ for a sandwich, potatoe chips and a Coke!

I'm not saying this is a bad place. Much the opposite. It is a nice hotel with very nice people. They just need to look at a few items which could elevate them above the crowd.

Many reviews have said this already but this is a great location for business and for launching into touring Dublin. The Hilton is a good value and provides a great breakfast. I found them to be great location and will consistently go back here when in Dublin. Though the facility doesn't "wow" you like a grand 5-star location, it is one of those hilton hidden gems. What I like is that it is quiet but easy to hop on the train to Stephens Green and into Dublin night life, pubs, restaurants. We usually found ourselves taking a train in and quick cab ride back as cabs are everywhere late at night after the trains stop but music keeps going. Also, I have to say, one gem of a location is just down the street/canal from the hotel at the end of the block or bridge called "The Barge". Great starters, good eats and of course a pint or glass of your favorite in a nice local environment. We were there in the "hot spell" of sunshine and 80's for Dublin recently and the Hilton's location on the canal was a grand place to watch gatherings, kayak races, to run/walk.

A very welcoming hotel. Modern, clean and not too far from the main centre and tourist sights of Dublin. Directly on the tram route, but within walking distance of the main shopping ares. The rooms were spacious and clean. WiFi in room was at an extra charge, however free in the public areas downstairs. Service was excellent and usual Hilton breakfast was good.I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Try for a room on the other side from the trams.
