“2 nights in Dublin”
Reviewed 19 July 2012

This hotel has a great location. Very convenient to everything. You can walk from the hotel to lots of activities. We also got tickets to one of the tour bus companies and easily got around to some of the farther things. The hotel has a great lobby with a bar. This came in very handy as we met with family and sat in the bar at the end of the evening and had a few "wee nightcaps". It was very inviting and relaxing. The room was large and nice. Maybe just a little worn though, but nothing too terrible. I can't say it wasn't clean and considering the price and location, I would stay there again. The breakfast was also very nice. I liked the variety.

Very nice accommodations and extremely good location. Easy walking distance to national museum, Trinity College, Guinness Warehouse, walking tours, etc. This is a very good choice and easy to get to from the airport.

We stayed here for a few nights in June. The location is good, within walking distance of the main sights but on a quieter street not too close to the noisy pub areas. We walked everywhere and just needed a taxi to get to the airport.

The lobby is very nice and the staff was friendly. Our room was very pleasant, with nice decor and character. Our only complaint was that the layout was a little awkward - it was quite a tight squeeze to walk around the bed (and we are fairly thin). (We usually found it easier to
just climb *over* the bed, lol.)

The free wi-fi worked well and had no time limit, but you have to pick up a new code each day at reception (no big deal - just remember to pick it up when you get back to the hotel each night).

We had dinner there one night and it was very good - nice atmosphere, good food, and good service.

Breakfast was a cold buffet (okay, but nothing outstanding and not a lot of variety), plus you could order a hot item off the menu. The breakfast pricing was a little confusing - the amount shown on the menu is for people who *aren't* staying at the hotel. Hotel guests get a lower
price, but that wasn't written anywhere - we just knew because we were told the breakfast price when we checked in. Confirm the price with your waitress to make sure you get the correct rate.

I would recommend this hotel - nice place with a convenient location and good free wi-fi.

Our SatNav took us straight from the Ferry port to the hotel. It's quite difficult to park on the street in front, but once the luggage was unloaded into the lobby, we were directed to park the car just around the corner in a covered car park, for which they gave us a voucher. Buswell's is a nice, older hotel that has been tastefully modernised. Our room was fine, as was the small bathroom (we had 2 beds in it, as our teenage son was travelling with us, but his single bed was tucked around a corner of the main room, in what was probably a dressing room, originally. The beds were comfortable and firm with nice quality bedding. The hotel is ideally-situated for exploring Dublin, as you just walk outside and you are a couple of minutes from the museums, the parliament, Trinity College and Grafton Street. We had breakfast in the restaurant next morning, which was copious and fresh. Their dinner menu looked good but we decided to go out as we only had 1 night in Dublin. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Booked two rooms in the hotel, one twin and one triple....Great location just off Grafton Street in the city centre. Room was ok but perfect for us as a base as we just slept in the hotel for the night. Bathroom was fine and beds very comfy. Read some of the reviews before I arrived and was a bit nervous on check in of what to expect but the room was ok. Just dont expect 5* rooms, you get what you pay for
