“Interesting history of a jail.”

When you buy your ticket they advise you what time tour you can go on. While you wait there is a museum to browse. The tour was very interesting to anyone with some knowledge of Irish history. Those with young children can leave early if need but will be escorted back to the exit as safer.

“Do not miss this place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 February 2012

What a terrific buidling - full of history and with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. If you want to get a feeling for Dublin/Eire's great history you must visit. The walk from Hesuton Station via the Mueseum of Modern Art (the former Army Hospital) is the best way of approaching the goal as you truly get a feeling forwhat historic Dublin must gave been like. allow plenty of time as the only way of seeing the goal is on a guided tour - and you may need to wait for up to an hour, for the one hour tour. There is a great museum to while away the time if you do have to wait.
