Owner description: Beautiful urban park immortalized in James Joyce's "Ulysses."

I've seen some beautiful parks but St. Stephen's Green provided a place that I felt I could stay forever. The people are friendly, the grass is green, and Grafton street provides a quick change of pace right up the way.

Peaceful, relaxing, and historic, right in the middle of busy Dublin.

Been there myself a couple of times and never had a probl but my daughter has just been mugged there this afternoon by a guy claiming to have a knife. They reported it to the Garda and this apparently wasn't the first report they'd had that day. It's the first time she's been abroad on her own and she and her friend (both teenagers) want to come home. Could have happened I guess in any park in any big city but it's ruined their trip which is a real shame.

We really enjoyed strolling through St. Stephen's Green. It was between our hotel and many pubs and attractions. You could just imagine townspeople from the olden days meeting here on a sunny afternoon.
