We had one night in Dublin before heading south and this sounded like fun, and it was. Our storyteller, Philip was great to listen to and quite the storyteller. I enjoyed his speaking style very much.

This is held upstairs above the Brazen Head pub, purported to be the oldest pub in Ireland. The food was actually quite good. I was pleasantly surprised, although I don't think I've ever had a bad meal in an Irish pub!

All in all, a great way to spend an evening learning a little more about Irish culture and beliefs.

The food was delicious, the storytelling was interesting and the person telling the stories as well as the history of some things were very kind, happy and dedicated to this. The part where we listened to live Irish music and having dinner at the same time was very nice. It filled you with joy.

This is a must if you go to Dublin!

I've attended this evening twice and enjoyed it immensely both times. The cost does seem a little high but you are being given a substantial meal and private engagement in between.
Perhaps some people have been with larger groups and found it lacking the personal or private touch, but I cannot say the same - both occassions have been welcoming and insightful. Would do it again when I have more visitors over

After a fun day in Dublin we retired for a bite to eat and some entertainment. The location is about a ten minute walk out of the town and easy to find, but maybe worth getting a taxi if you’ve been on your feet all day.

We arrived at 6.30 and the main downstairs bar was already in full swing with plenty of atmosphere. The toilets down stairs could have done with a good clean. Upstairs, where the event took place was much cleaner with plenty of space. Attending was comfortable number of people for the space, a mixture of couples, families and small groups. We sat on a large table and the atmosphere relaxed and everyone chatted.

The stories and music were punctuated with the meal. I would only rate the meal as average but I would still rate the evening as 5 stars due to the story telling ability of Phil and the music.

When we left at about 10.00 there was a lively band playing in the bar down stairs with a bit of dancing, after all Ireland had beaten Italy earlier in the day. A number of the people we spoke to had booked to go on else where after, if they had know they may have stayed for some more music and maybe just another pint of Guinness!

Had a really great evening. Great music and fantastic evening that combined story -telling in the context of the Ureland's background and history. Story -teller great presence and very interesting. Great to combine it with good, hearty Irish food and sharing the evening with others (albeit strangers) made it a sociable event too. Highly recommend this for an evening with a difference and good value for money.
