During my stay in Dublin, I stayed at 3 different hostels. This was to do with different reasons. Plans kept changing, budget and reviews online.
This was the last of the 3 that I stayed at.

Times hostel was easily the best hostel of the 3. Centrally located, clean and spacious room, wonderful ensuite, storage including a cupboard and draw for each person in the room, and fantastic wifi.

I also loved they hosted "free activity" each night. Whilst I didn't get to participate in any of these I loved that they had them available.

The best was super comfortable, and had charging points at each bed including a bed light. The wifi worked fantastic and also the kitchen was large and very accomodating.

The staff were very helpful and friendly.

If and when I choose to come back to Dublin, I would definitely stay here as I found it value for money. And I can't find anything to fault.
Thanks for the great stay :-) I'll be spreading the word!

This was an amazing hostel--so glad we stayed here. We paid for a four person room (two bunk beds) and shared between three people. The room was clean and comfortable, with a basic design. The beds were fine, they had USB ports connected to them so you could charge your phone without needing an adapter, which was very cool! The towels were clean and there was a public and private bathroom available, both with shower, toilet, and sink. The hostel is right off a busy street, so you don't need to walk far to reach fun bars and places to buy groceries / anything else. It was quiet at night, since it's in an alley off of the busy street.

The kitchen was fantastic, that's probably what made the place so wonderful for me. It was very large, with an open floor plan and multiple sections / areas to sit and eat, or cook. Any kitchen appliance you'd need while traveling was available to use for free (the only thing I think they didn't provide was an oven, but there were plenty of stovetops, microwaves, toasters, and anything else you could need in abundance! The kitchen was also super clean, and there was a whole fridge of free food for guests. They also do a complimentary food special each night: for example free pancakes in the morning or tapas at night.

The hostel also had free wifi, as well as two or three desktop computers hooked up to internet for guests to use at any time, free of charge.

The only minor downside is the distance from the main area of Dublin. While it's not too arduous, anyone wishing to walk into Temple Bar / River Liffey area in less than 15-20 min might be a bit unhappy. It's a nice walk, but a walk all the same. But on the upside, the transportation from the airport is great--the Airlink Bus stops about a block away, which is very useful if you have bags.

I would certainly recommend the Times Hostel-- Camden Place, and I would happily stay there again!

The location of this place was adequate. In order to enter the building, you had to walk down an alley and past a few doors. Luckily, stores were within walking distance. Then rooms were extremely lackluster. I've been in college dorms that had more area. The pillow cases had very dirty/moldy spots and stains so it was not clean enough to use. There was no way to sit up in the beds. Even if you were 5'3 your head was pressed against the top bunk when you tried to sit up.The length of bunk-beds were the entire length of room. With the two beds in the room, there was only about two feet of walking space across from each other. This narrow path was how you entered the room and entered the bathroom. The shower was actually the best part of the stay. Unfortunately the first time I used it, I had to kill a spider climbing on the wall. The entire stay was even more underwhelming when we came back to the room after a day that was in the 80's and realized there was no A/C or fans. So we sweated all night and were unable to sleep. Another reason that kept us up was due to the excessively loud noise outside which were people who were partying from midnight to after 3 AM. Usually there would be a noise time limit, but not here. They were able to enter the building and we did not here silence till after 4 AM. All in all, do not come to this place unless you are short of money, enjoy stores in walking distance, and don't expect any sort of quality in your stay.

Room Tip: You won't find one here unless you are a backpacker.

Staff at front desk friendly and helpful nice location. But so noisy and we stayed Sunday night. Come 4am music is still blasting from club located behind the hostel. People are screaming outside. They provide ear plugs but these couldn't drown out the extent of the noise levels. Only stay if heavy sleeper or planning to party all night yourself.

We stayed in a double room with ensuite
Good: Clean with decent size bathroom, not much noise from inside the hostel (there was some sort of event where a group of teenagers were staying at the hostel one of the nights and they were extremely loud and disruptive. After they left we had no issues.)
Bad: The worst bed I have slept on in my whole life. Huge roll together with metal springs that can be felt all over the mattress.

Location:
Good - Close to great bars and restaurants, short walk to Grafton Street, Trinity College etc.
Bad - Very close to clubs so it is incredibly loud at night. The music from the clubs isn't the main problem as the double glazed windows help, its the people on the street who make a lot of noise.

Kitchen:
Good - Clean with everything you need
Bad - When the hostel is busy there's isn't enough seating around breakfast and dinner time
