We visited a friend in Ireland this summer and stayed at Rossmore Manor. The reviews seemed to be too perfect. However, I can now say from personal experience - this is THE ONLY place to stay if you are visiting in and around Donegal town Ireland. My daughter and I spent 5 nights at Rossmore. It was an exceptional place to stay. Jackie was a fabulous hostess, and along with her husband and children quite adept at making you feel at home. We stayed in the new addition - the Tower and it was spotless. We had tea & coffee service in the room as well as a light snack left each day. The view was spectacular, quiet and peaceful. Breakfast - a great variety to choose from and the ambiance, music and service impeccable. The only criticism I could find with Rossmore is the wi-fi service could be a little stronger. Still, we were able to use the wifi to skype family in the U.S. each evening. Totally lovely place to stay and totally lovely family of inn keepers. They truely have found their calling.

We went for two nights last week with our daughter (aged 2 and a half) and we've been talking about it ever since! What a gorgeous B&B with spectacular views over Donegal Bay. Our room (called the the hobbit - i think) was first class - really massive with luxurious furnishings and decor. The whole family were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. They went out of their way to make sure we had a great time not only in recommending places to see and where to eat but also lending us toys and dvds for our daughter. The children kept her amused by playing with her so much so that she talked about her 'friends' all the way home. Book early to avoid disappointment because we've told everyone we know that they have to stay at Rossmore!

Room Tip: stay in 'the hobbit'!

Well run B&B in an amazingly scenic location just outside Donegal Town. Enormous comfortable rooms, large shower, great breakfast, free wifi and parking, and a great view! Short drive into town and there's plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops as well as Donegal Castle. Breathtaking Slieve League cliffs nearby. Excellent value for money.

Do not look further. When in Donegal area stay here.Nowhere else. (Free WiFi)
