Owner description: Ireland's Wildest Attraction. Fota Wildlife Park is set on 100 acres on the scenic Fota Island in the heart of Cork Harbour. It is a unique place where you can come face to face with free roaming animals and birds from all parts of the world. So if it’s a kangaroo that hops in front of you, or a ring-tailed lemur, which jumps down from a tree, each visit is sure to bring its own fantastic memories. Fota Wildlife Park features the recently opened Asian Sanctuary—with Asian Lions, Sumatran Tigers, and Indian Rhino. The cheetah run, tropical house and giraffe crossing are also must-sees. The development of the Asian Sanctuary over the past five years has enhanced the Park as an iconic international visitor attraction as well as serving the core values of conservation, education, and research. Facilities include cafés, several play areas, picnic areas and a gift shop. Accessible by train and car.

I was in Fota with my boyfriend in May 2017. All the territory in very green, with huge areas for animals. That's a great opportunity for people to see animals almost in open space. There is a big parking next to enter and a few cafes inside the part. I hope to see this nice park again.

Spent a few hours here over Easter. Done a LOT of walking! Got to see the feeding of Leopards, Penguins and Seals. Visited the shop for the requisite stuffed animal to take home.

It’s been almost 15 years since I last visited Fota Wildlife park and so had big expectations about how much the park would have changed and improved over that time. Golly was I disappointed. The whole place is totally run down, very few animals, gibbons island was totally empty, no lions to be seen either. Last time I was here giraffe were roaming a wide open space - this time couped up in a metal barn. We expected to spend most of the day, like we would in Dublin zoo, but had everything seen in 90mins. To top of off it cost more than Dublin zoo and the another 3 euro to get out of the car park. A complete rip off

This park is great, has loads of animals which seem to have plenty of space to live. Food is good also. Better than Dublin Zoo as you can see the animal better.

Park has a lot more going on since last visited however, the pricing is absolutely ridiculous. Wouldn’t come here as often as I would like too due to this.
