“Old World Elegance, Fabulous Service”

The staff were super helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make our stay special. Our family group had 3 different rooms and we all had a 1st class experience from the comfortable rooms, to the excellent food and the Irish Whiskey expertise in the bar (Claire). We would definitely return and recommend it highly to our friends.

This is a gem of a hotel tucked away near the University and within easy walking distance of the city center. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean and with extremely comfortable beds. We had late lunch a couple of times in the bar. Food was very good and nice cozy atmosphere after doing sight-seeing. At breakfast, you can choose from a wonderful array of items from the buffet and from a full breakfast, hot cooked menu. The hotel seems to be a place for many business travelers as well so if you are looking for a quiet breakfast time choose something after 8 or 8:30 when they have left for work. The staff gave us excellent recommendations for other restaurants in the city and for taking a day trip to Cobh.

This 5 star hotel llives up to its rating in every respect.
The concierge staff were the best we have experienced. This was our first visit to Ireland and the staff at the Hayfield Manor set the scene for a memorable holiday and a wonderful first experience of the friendly people of the Emerald Isle. Our room was superb and the facilities in the hotel are of the highest standard. We travel all over the world and this hotel gets a highly recommended stamp of approval from us.

Room Tip: Manor room was extremely comfortable and excellent size.

Just returned from a one night stay in what I would call a truly five star establishment. From the moment we arrived we could get this great atmosphere and the excellent welcome we got. We booked one of the special package and well worth checking out. We got a king sized accessible room with bath and shower that proved perfect since I use crutches and a wheelchair to get around. The bedroom was so comfortable with full wifi access for our iPads. All the extras of the welcome chocolates and loads of Elemis products made it so special. We made full use of leisure centre with a good sized swimming pool but the ace of spades was the outdoor jacuzzi that was so relaxing even with the cold air around us. We returned to it early the following morning just before breakfast. We had dinner in Perrotts restaurant where it is situated in a lovely conservatory and has a great menu with a wide selection. All I can say about is that both of us were stuffed coming away from dinner and well satisfied with the service too. An extra piece of atmosphere was created with the musician performing in a quite corner of the reception area and not in your face in either Orchids Restaurant or the bar. We had breakfast in Orchids Restaurant and lovely with a much or little as you wanted, both buffet and cooked. It set us for the day. Before we left Hayfield at lunchtime, we availed of the Spa and indulged in a treatment each where the staff are so professional. The worst part of the stay was leaving such a great place. We enjoyed itso much that we have already made a booking for later in the year to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. All the staff are so helpful, friendly and professional. I can only highly recommend the Hayfield Manor as somewhere special to say in a quite location in the busy City of Cork.

We stayed here for a weekend using a blue book voucher. To be honest it was the best value we could get with our blue. On arrival we were greeted by Bart who offered to help us with our bags. The check was a lovely experience where they sat you down along with personally showing you to your room which is a lovely touch.

Great pool and gym, and the jacuzzi outside is lovely. Although the weather was brutal, the rain pouring down when you were in the outdoor jacuzzi was somewhat refreshing!

Breakfast was fab but we didn't eat there in the evening. I did miss my putting machine which wasn't in the room, but is part of the room description per the website but not even an issue.

The hotel was full of alot of american tourists and as with the majority of Irish hospitality establishments the bar prices reflected it. €5.90 for a bottle of beer was excessive I thought but other than that I really couldn't fault it.
