“Delicious seafood - no nonsense! ”
Review of Craft & Harbour

Craft & Harbour
Ranked #3 of 195 Restaurants in Ayr
Certificate of Excellence
Price range: US$ 7 - US$ 33
Description: Welcome to Craft & Harbour, a modern, Scottish fish and chip restaurant in Ayr. We believe in fresh, locally sourced ingredients, hand-prepared and cooked to order by our chefs. We offer a range of traditional suppers and seafood options along with our homemade sauces, sides and pickles. Our kitchen offers great lunchtime dishes and we offer delicious soups, starters and sides. As a family restaurant, we are family-friendly: our kids menu will keep the little ones well-fed and the restaurants contemporary design is open and relaxed. We do, of course, have a wonderful evening setting for the quieter, special nights: the lights go down and the candles add some sparkle.

Visited this place over Easter but haven't had a chance to review yet. Lovely service, beautiful restaurant and the food is delicious. We will definitely be back.

Been on the radar since a friend recommended it, dads 90th a fine excuse to eat out. Again. Easy to find if you know how, if you don't find out! Look for major gable end artwork. So, food; brothers salt n chilli squid starter tasty, chilli kickin'! My whitebait (easily persuaded to have by mine hostess) was superb, knocked spots off every one had previously. Mains, pancetta'd cod on borlotti bean stew, brothers, so nice I didn't get any... My cod in batter was lurvly, parted like the proverbial. Dads haddock was also well received. Top marks for food. I'm a crockeryaholic, so the enamel ware on show turned me green...! Plates, bowls, wee bowls, wee dips. Staff excellent. Obviously well experienced, convivial, knowledgeable, up for it! And the venue has plenty of room, tables and booths, well stocked bar with local tipples. All in all a great experience fronted by great food. More than a fish & chip provider. Much more. Find it, food it.

Visited this evening on spec during one-night stop-over in Ayr. Great menu choice and lovely food. We had the lobster... yum yum! Staff delightful too.

As we live in Glasgow it had been a while since our last visit - our meal on Saturday was just as fantastic as before! I had two of the specials, chilli squid and baked sardines, both were fresh and delicious; my partner had the cod and chips and thoroughly enjoyed it (not a thing left on either plate!). The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Also the added bonus that we could bring our dog with us (is a dog friendly restaurant). Will definitely be back.
