Went for a family dinner before 6:30 to get the 2 course deal, extremely well worth the money! Best fish and chips I've had in an Ayrshire restaurant, breadcrumbs were crispy and the fish genuinely tasted amazing!! Staff were polite and very helpful, explained the specials with care and made sure we got the most out of our meal, couldn't fault them!! Desert was chocolate fudge cake which again was huge for the money:) extremely happy with the experience and will definitely be returning, might try the breakfast menu next time

Visited Macfarlane's for the first time and was really impressed with the food and service we recieved.

The menu is simple with lots of choice. My friend is vegetarian and sometimes the options in Ayr can be quite limited so this place will no doubt become a new favourite for us.

Would definitely recommend to couples and families.

This is one of my gems in Ayr, and I hope it will become yours as well. Straightforward menu and the food delivers, served by great staff and service. Have been changes in the wine menu to the better. This is one of the few places in Ayr, where the staff warms up the espresso cup before they make it. And as their coffees does never have a bitter taste, this is my preferred spot on my morning dog walk (dogs only allowed till 5 pm, but that's ok).
