“Just fantastic!”

We stayed here for two nights with a friend from Edinburgh and another couple from Belgium. The cottage is cosy and extremely nice. There was even a dram on arrival, and in fact a selection of beer in the fridge, though may have been left by other holiday makers. Extremely comfy, cozy and enjoyable...we felt very welcome and at home. We just loved it and will be back. Utterly delighted.

“Picturesque but small cottage”

On arrival, lovely location and very quaint looking cottage. Living room cosy but when we walked into the kitchen, what a huge disappointment. So small, no counter space, didn't notice on the description that there was no washing machine and generally not well equipped. Dining table had to be pulled out every time you want to use it and the bathroom was on the ground floor with sink no bigger than a very small en-suite sink was very disappointing. The double bedroom was adequate but the twin was very tight squeeze in between the beds. My parents found the very steep staircase tricky, albeit there were around 6 hand rails to help them manoeuvre. Bathroom being downstairs didn't help. Overall, very clean cute cottage but not ideal for anyone who isn't nimble or those who love to cook.

On arrival we were blessed with a nice Dram and a lovely bottle of red wine. The real wood fire was set and ready to be enjoyed. The cottage itself was very cozy with the central heating on for us getting there. The first thing we noticed was just how clean the cottage was and the stunning surroundings. The cottage was without doudt the best standard we have stayed with alot of time and care spent on the small detail i.e Ice in freezer etc. We have rebooked this wee cottage again and cant wait to go back. The pub next door was also a great draw and the local butcher on hand with great food. All in all you should visit this cottage and see what others are missing.
Thank you both for letting us tay at your cottage.

“Not as advertised”

Wonderful location just outside of Pitlochry and next to the Moulin Inn - great for walks and dining. However, the information about how to use the heating system was either incorrect or the thermostat was not working correctly. Also the email mentioned "have a dram on us," - unfortunately the bottle was empty for us as it was for the previous resident (as noted in guestbook). The kitchen was questionable and I wanted to clean everything before use and bathroom mirror was dirty. The blankets on the sofa bed were dirty. We thoroughly enjoyed the location and the patio by the stream in the back of the house - the landscaping was attractive - just wished the inside had as much attention paid to it.

“beautiful cottage”
Reviewed 27 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

A lovely, comfortable cottage in a beautiful part of the country. It was a very well appointed cottage with all the amenities and a few extras. It was situated in the heart of the village just 20 yards from the Inn which served great food and drink(including their own beers)
