A Quaint old fashioned tearoom. We had the most delicious Cullen Skink ever. Touching on the pricey side but worth it.

Now Effies of Perth (used to be Small Talk, George and his handmaidens have really pushed the boat out with the food on offer. Have not been there since my last review but on 30th March 2018 just had to go back, for a second time in a month when visiting Perth pon business. This turned out to be a gastronomic extravaganza. The specials that were on offer were so tempting ( George' has such eloquent descriptions that have your mouth watering before you even decide). I just had to go for the Turkey Broth - not just like my Granny used to make but far 'soup'erior . Followed by the gargantuan chicken, ham and leek pie with a flaky pastry on top, served with the most unbelievably tasting carrots cooked Al Dente and a serving of fresh Petit Pois - of course a side of home cut chunky chips. Washing all this down was Fentimans Special Orange juice. To say I enjoyed this gargantuan 2 course meal is an understatement - I had to sit there for at least 15 -20 minutes before trying to move. All the time, the staff would ask if everything was to my satisfaction, was it OK? OK no fantastic YES!! Please, dear readers if you are visiting Perth this is an absolute MUST visit Restaurant. I could go on about the Carrot Cake, The Hot Apple Pie and Fresh Dairy Cream, The Coffee, the ambience, the atmosphere but I would be almost writing a book. To George and his wonderful team a huge THANKYOU from your friend from TYNDRUM. I love you all sooooo much. John M.

I come here regularly with my mum - we both love the old world atmosphere here. Decor is lovely - an Aladdin's cave for those who love vintage. Food is really good and tea from a china cup poured from a silver teapot is fab! Staff are lovely too.
