We were made very welcome by Laura and show to our room (2, with loch view) The room was large, very clean, lots of tea & coffee. The shower was large and very clean. The breakfast was fantastic, well cooked and plenty of it with lots of cold or hot items. You will not go wrong by staying here. About 8 mins walk from town center.

Room Tip: Room 2 has Loch views.

Picked at random driving by the 30+ places along this road packed with B&Bs and hotels.
This one is a short walk from the centre of town. Very spacious, clean and stylish rooms, fantastic beds (no expense spared), super-friendly guest house hosts - the kind that were born to run a guest house - Stuart and Lorna... Still remember their names two weeks after our visit.
Unfortunately for us, we had pre-booked at a hotel along the same road the next night... While Buccleuch set the bar high, the next place was dreadful.
If I ever get around to writing a book, I may consider going back for that relaxing atmosphere... the only thing to be wary of, is the size of the breakfast! I suggest asking for half a portion or clothes with a larger waist size.

Staying two nights having walked the West Highland Way, this has to be Fort William's finest guest house... Bags of character, beautifully appointed inside, and with the most amazing views across the loch from the front guest rooms and breakfast room. It's located about five minutes walk from the town's best street for pubs and restaurants, so you get the best of both worlds - peace and quiet, but eats and drinks on the doorstep. Breakfast was one of the most generous and delicious of our trip too. A real gem!

My Mum and I initially only booked a 2 night stay at Buccleuch but extended this to 4 nights at short notice due to my Mum (77 years young) feeling unwell after a long journey from Skye. We were welcomed by Lorna (you are a complete star) on our arrival who took us to our twin room and immediately made us feel as if we were at home.

After a good night's sleep for Mum, we got to appreciate the beautiful house and it's wonderful location and view. Our twin room was on the ground floor and it was lovely, comfy beds, very clean, big bathroom with large walk-in shower and very tastefully decorated to compliment the house.

Breakfast was brillant, large selection, good quality and all served with a wonderful view.

Lorna and Stuart are fantastic hosts, we saw more of Lorna and as I have said she is "a star" and works so hard to ensure all her guests are made to feel welcome. We loved our stay at Buccleuch and would not hesitate in recommending it.

Thanks so much.

The excellent standards were only surpassed by the warmth of the welcome. We were even taken to the train station because it was raining!
