After reading reviews of a number of hotels in the area, we decided on The Lime Tree. It is nicely decorated and even though it was fully booked it was very quiet (once the other guests parted to their rooms). The bathroom has a window, which is an added bonus as I appreciate natural light. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The fire place in the sitting room helped us get dry and warm in a nice setting. We didn't realise breakfast was included with our booking; the hotel extended serving breakfast just so we wouldn't leave hungry. Definitely would go back.

Went to Scotland for long weekend and nothing planned. Headed for Fort William and found this place in the Michelin guide. Only had a twin room left but that was ok as we wanted to eat in the restaurant. Before dinner we heard that they had a limited menu as one of the chefs had to leave for an emergency which was disappointing as the menu on display when we checked in looked amazing. However this being the case the food was absolutely amazing, service and atmosphere was great. Our stay was lovely also nice cosy room and good night sleep before heading off south for home.

I stayed two nights at the conclusion of a two-week long solo tour of Scotland. I chose Room 1 from the photos on the website - will say that these photos make the hotel look like an entirely different sort of place. The rooms look modern and luxe when actually mine was more like a room you'd find in an old house - lovely and comfortable with killer views of Loch Linnhe. Not bad, just very different, and I would say a wee bit pricey. As others have said, the location is great. And I'll also echo comments about the restaurant, it's fab - would entirely recommend the vegetarian haggis.. One night I ate at a well-reviewed restaurant in town and wished I had returned to the Lime Tree for another meal. Thank you, Lime Tree, for your hospitality! (and re-shoot those website photos, lol)

Gets a 3 because you can't give a 2 ½. The room was OK. Bathroom very basic. The wifi is SLOW.
The comman area was nice and we were able to meet the travelers over a drink.
Generally speaking, good location, average facilities.

Our stay began with a lovely warm welcome, however following this the introduction to our room was pure disappointment . The room was in the old part of the building and was very dark, small and over crowded. No mirror to dry hair at , the only mirror was over the bed . The furniture was shabby and the coffee making facilities on a very low table. The bathroom was equally small and dated. The breakfast was ok.
