We had a one night stay, will stay again, room was excellent, very clean well laid out, shower and bathroom were ideal.
We had breakfast it was really good, plenty of choice.
Staff were superb, pleasant polite very very helpful.
The hotel is in a good location, and there is easy access to town centre.
Like I say would stay again and for longer.

Very first time I stayed at this hotel we stayed for one night but we will be back, the staff were most helpful, rooms were comfortable and clean, shower was good, and the room was quite as we had a room in the back side off the hotel clear off the main road.
Breakfast was a continental spread and also you could go for the full Scottish breakfast, very tasty and plenty off it, it set us up for the day. (breakfast price £5 per head excellent value)
The hotel is perfectly situated for the pubs and restaurants on Byres road and Ashton lane a two minute walk.
Book this hotel and enjoy the wonderful shops and nightlife off Glasgows west end you wont be disappointed.

We stayed in this hotel from Oct. 14-19. First of all, the Staff--the Front Desk Staff was welcoming and helpful. The Housekeeping Staff is very friendly and accommodating (we move slowly in the morning)--never a problem with tending to our room later in the morning and, the room was always clean and neat upon our return. As others have stated, the rooms are not large-there were three of us and it was fine. Might have wanted a few more hangers--but, all in all good, A hair dryer and plenty of connections for our electronics were available! That was awesome. The breakfast is not included in the price but is available at a very reasonable price-5 GBP. That price is either a hot (full Scottish breakfast) and/or a cold breakfast (cereal, toast, fruit, juice and hot morning drink). The dining room is lovely. The location of the hotel is great! Close to the university, botanical gardens, Hop on Hop off Bus line. Great and varied restaurants are available within a 10-minute walk. A large grocery is available within a 5-minute walk (has a very nice fruit, wine, and beer selection). On the less than positive side, the shower is small, really small but then, the water is hot and the pressure is good. Our room was on the first floor, close to the dining room. There is no soundproofing in the rooms and we always heard the hustle and bustle of breakfast (6:30-9:30 a.m.) from the Staff and guests. Not a huge issue--and probably not an issue if the room was located on an upper floor. All and all, good experience-have no problem in recommending and, yes, I would stay at this fine hotel again--only, I would make sure I was on the second floor.

Our first stay here, chosen because near our family, and because it was set back from the road. The main road (in the middle of the West End) is very busy, with traffic and lots of shops, but the hotel was as quiet and secluded as if in a backwater. There was a hedge separating Buckingham Terrace from the road. As it happened, our room was at the back, so very quiet, but it was also quiet in the breakfast room at the front. Our room was perhaps a little small, but beautifully decorated with tartan curtains & other furnishings. The whole hotel has been recently refurbished. The chair in front of the desk was unfortunately too large, so it was very difficult to squeeze between it and the bed every time one of us wanted to get by. A smaller chair would have been better. But otherwise no complaints. The breakfasts were good too, although I could have done with a bit more fresh fruit, and dried fruit too. All the staff were very friendly. The one big drawback, though, is parking. There was hardly ever a space available and so we had to find space nearby or hang around until somebody left. We are lucky in having a Disabled badge, and so we didn't have to pay for parking. But otherwise, I imagine, it could get expensive.

We stayed in Glasgow for 9 nights, it was very important to have comfortable accommodations. The hotel staff was very helpful, very friendly, the room was spacious, and the offered breakfast convenient. It is close the Botanic Gardens, within walking distance of great restaurants and bars in the West End, and public transportation is close. Next time I'm in Glasgow I will definitely stay there again.
