The staff keep this hotel going. The rooms are in desperate need of upgrading and are no longer fit for purpose. There is no air conditioning and it makes it very uncomfortable to sleep at night. The window can’t be left open as the sound of the traffic from the motorway echos all night. The rooms all have a smell of cigarettes and most of the beds are broken and just hanging on. There is damp in the bathrooms as the fans do not work. The staff are really what keep this hotel alive, and can not do enough to assist you. If it was not for them, the hotel would be a let down. There is a Beefeater restaurant attached to the hotel. I would recommend finding somewhere else to eat. The menu is extremely limited and does not offer many vegetarian options. The food is also very bland. Overall, upgrade the hotel and this would be a fantastic place to stay.

Room tip: Find a different restaurant then the Beefeater.

Hotel room was too hot. Had fan on all night and window open temperature did not change. Could not sleep at all very uncomfortable. Room could do with a lick of paint - very grubby. Fan was full of dust that blew into room when turned on so check this.

Ceiling very creaky and walls thin. Children running up and down the corridor outside the room until late. Premier inns need to do something about their slamming doors so it prevents people from doing it. The room itself smelt of mould. The receptionist dealt with us whilst trying to sort out another customer and didn't even ask if we wanted breakfast in the morning. And on leaving we was not asked if everything was ok with the stay. All and all not a good one for a stay.

We have stayed here a few time when visiting family Ideally situated just off the motorway and easy access into the city centre. The hotel is clean but a bit tired and could really do with a makeover. Staff are lovely and very helpful Breakfast was lovely
