This was the first stopping point on a short break in Scotland. Rooms are small and a little dated but clean (if you’re not too fussy). The hotel in general is dilapidated and scruffy, with dirty old carpets and a reception area that could double for a ‘70s nightclub cloakroom (fortunately without the music or the drunks). There’s no lift and access must be very difficult for anyone with limited mobility.
The hotel was ok for one night though we felt it was overpriced and maybe not quite up to three-star standards. Would be unlikely to return here.
