Very pleasant 2 night stay in this hotel. Great sleep in a very comfortable bed, spacious room and spotlessly clean. Power shower in a great bathroom facility.
I also thoroughly enjoyed the Full English (Scottish!) breakfast included in the price,
All this and for an extremely good price. The hotel is located a couple of minutes walk from the Central Station and all city centre facilities. Can't beat this for value and I will certainly be back whenever I stay in Glasgow.

Booked this for TRNSMT and on arriving at the hotel early, they very kindly accommodated our early check in request. The rooms were very large and spacious, clean and with ample tea/coffee facilities. Downside was the decor was slightly dated but still lovely. Breakfast was good, they had a great variety - APART from when I asked if they had a Gluten Free menu as my daughter has coeliac disease and I was told 'no, nothing gluten free here'. Quite off putting - they had eggs/beans/bacon and mushrooms in the hot plate which are normally gluten free, but my daughter did not want to take the chance of cross contamination with the ladies firm statement that nothing was gluten free. They did not even offer to make an omelette or suggest anything else that would be appropriate so my daughter had to go without breakfast. I would kindly ask that in future you could perhaps offer a Gluten Free menu.

I stayed for 2 nights on a business trip this week....great location, however, the room was old and tired, bathroom not clean little warm water for the shower, toilet of a poor standard and the sash windows hard to open and close. Given the age of the window, you may as well left it open as the racket from outside was just as bad, open or closed. The carpet throughout the room and hotel was threadbare. Breakfast food was ok though although dirty carpets etc spoiled it. Staff were friendly which is a plus. If you like old buildings, poorly decorated, poorly maintained, loud guests, loud banging from the building site opposite and the sleepless njghts, then it's a fabulous place to stay.

If you want a lovely comfy bed, great shower, fab cooked breakfast served by friendly courteous staff at a really reasonable price this hotel is for you
If you don't mind a 15 minute walk to the centre, no security (there was a camera room with many screens usually unmanned whenever we walked past) and a front automatic door always open to all and sundry and a reception desk virtually straight in off the street again often unmanned again this is perfect for you
While we on a 4 night visit there were 3 incidents that we were aware of that had obviously escaped the notice of any security
This is such a shame as otherwise this hotel is perfect for a weekend break

Room tip: Get staff to up their security

We had to move twice to get a proper room. The first one we were given had not been cleaned. The second one faced a construction site and the banging started at 7 AM. Our third room was quiet but---it had no telephone. The telephone installer came up and was not wearing a mask! We asked him if he was vaccinated and he said no, then went into an anti-vax rant. We threw him out of the room! He was probably in a lot of rooms with his Covid germs, so I wish the best to people staying in the rooms he went into. We complained to the front desk but heard nothing back from anyone. Also, the lift was tiny and nowhere did it say one guest or couple per lift. So people were trying to crowd into the lift. No social distancing. Also, the sign on the outside window said masks must be worn inside. We were the only ones wearing masks and no one was asked to put on a mask. And the bed was hard as a rock. Happy Covid everyone!
