Stopped in for a late lunch on a chill day and was pleased with the warm welcome, great service, tasty food and reasonable prices. A pleasant stop while waiting for the train.

Nipped in here on a Friday evening about 6 o'clock. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. It is a small, narrow restaurant and I imagine space between tables could be an issue later on. We were promptly seated and given menus. My partner had the minestrone and I had the bruschetta. Both were very nice. For mains we both chose the mushroom risotto. It was lovely albeit very filling. To finish we both had ice cream and coffees. The meal was good value for money with great service. I would pay a return visit.

We ate here on a Friday evening in early September during a recent trip. The waiter who served us was friendly and attentive but the food was bland. We had Caprese and Minestrone soup to start. The Caprese was fine but the soup was tasteless. For mains, we had pizza and spaghetti bolognese. The pizza was OK but the spaghetti bolognese was bland and swimming in water. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco. Although not unpleasant, it was very sweet. It was more like an inexpensive Asti. We have never had a Prosecco that sweet. We did query this with the waiter but were assured it was a Prosecco. Perhaps we went on an off night but we were very disappointed after reading all the good reviews.

We were staying in Glasgow on a Monday evening wandering around looking for somewhere to eat when we stumbled across Amalfi. As you would expect on a Monday, it wasn't busy so we easily got a table. The menu is varied and both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our pizzas.
The staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for you.

A good alternative to other Italian restaurant chains - keep little, family run restaurants going.

Were staying in Premier Inn and found this lovely wee restaurant just across the road .
Had the pizza which was lovely and the service was very good. Only thing wrong was a poor beer selection for my husband and a pint at £5.20 was expensive.
Would try again on next visit .
