This is a large Irish pub located in the refurbished city fruit market at Merchant Square; it offers a large bar area and many tables for ordering from their menu, which is heavy on the red meat. I liked the decent selection of draft beers, my favorite of which was the Chieftain Pale Ale from Franciscan Wells Brewery in Cork City (Ireland). Comfortable place to enjoy a meal and a few pints. The friendly and efficient waitstaff was a plus.

I have been here loads of times before for meeting friends, great value pub food and watching Scotland games on it's large screens and always enjoyed it.

Just been back after it's reboot and wow, great new modern look more akin to indie type pub with more taps, craft beers and guest taps too.

Food is always good value here although didn't eat on this occasion I wouldn't hesitate to again soon.

One great addition is the TV Wall showing sport replacing one of the projectors and is awesome.

Decor is less chain Irish Pub now and more chilled and modern with great new retro style lighting creating great atmosphere.

Feels like new great addition to Merchant City

3Rd visit since refurbishment and not disappointed, ate twice along with another couple on one occasion and the four of us all happy with our food. Toilets seem 2 be better kept and staff ( especially one female whose name I forget) are friendly. Hopefully it keeps up to the new standards and especially getting a vodka & dash in a decent glass...and not half pint tumbler like the old days!

had a cracking day here on Sunday. was meeting some friends before the Scotland v Slovenia game and we went to O'Neill's, the place was packed with travelling Slovenia fans who were in a real party mood.
the bar had a DJ on who was playing Slovenian music and whilst the place was busy you didn't have to wait too long to get served.
Tried some of the new food and i have to say the pizza was great - proper crust and base not one of those cheap burnt thin bases so many of the pubs in Glasgow put out.
not been in for a while but the food, atmosphere and craft beer will definetly have me coming back

Have a smashing week,

Visited this evening for dinner with a friend and had the best mixed grill I've had in a long time. The steak was cooked to my liking, the chicken was so moist it fell apart and the gammon was delicious! Would highly recommend it! The staff were very helpful and put up with my demands (I can be fussy!). The food was fresh and at the table within 20 minutes which was great because I was in a hurry! Also, the atmosphere is very inviting and the place looks incredible since being refitted. I'm sure I'll be visiting again very soon!
