I booked this hotel last minute on line at a heavily discounted rate. When I arrived there was a wedding in full flow & I cringed at the thought of ankle biters running amok & a noisy late night party. However the Hotel appeared to have things all under control & the wedding party was situated in a unobtrusive, self contained part of the Hotel which did not interfere with other guests using the other public areas.
I was allocated my room & was pleasantly surprised to have been allocated a suite at the front of the Hotel complete with it's own turret room with two comfy armchairs & tea making facilities!
The room was very large & well appointed & contained everything you would expect from a 4 star accommodation.
The bathroom was very generous in size & had both a large walk in shower cubicle & a free standing roll-top bath.
Despite there being a wedding function in full swing I was not disturbed once during the night & had a very good nights sleep in an extremely comfortable bed!
The restaurant was very quiet with only one other diner. I was made to feel welcome by the waiter & I was offered the a la carte menu or the 3 course set menu at an attractive price of just £20.
I chose the set menu & overall enjoyed the food with some slight reservations, but wondered if the chef was under pressure due to catering for the wedding party?
A had to leave at 5.30 in the morning & requested an early continental breakfast which was served in the dining room (usually on a tray in your bedroom in most hotels!). I was served cereal, a selection of pastries & croissant, fresh fruit juice & coffee by a very friendly night porter who even took the time to sit down for an early morning chat!
Overall, a very enjoyable stay & I look forward to my next visit.

Room Tip: Rooms 1-5 highly recommended

Found this Castle Hotel at the last minute while traveling through Scotland. Very beautiful hotel, nicely decorated and needless to stay, IT IS A CASTLE! Only has 18 rooms, but the one we stayed in was recently re-decorated. Very comfortable and roomy. Felt like a Ritz Carlton. Had dinner in the restaurant and the food was amazing. Had to try the Haggis and it was very savory. Nice bar area to unwind and have drinks, and the breakfast the following morning was very good.
If you are in the Glasgow area and would like to experience staying in castle, i truly recommend Sherbrooke Castle!

I have recently spent x2 four night stays at the sad time of a relative's death.
At all times the staff were polite, helpfuland friendly.
The atmosphere is relaxes yet efficient.
The room was fantastic-spacious,warm,clean and great views over the city.
The food was excellent at all times.
A reception was arranged following my relative's funeral and the food and service excellent.
At all times the staff were helpful and flexible.
We could not have asked for a more sympathetic and helpful stay.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large, comfortable and sunny

Firstly, Sherbrooke Castle Hotel is just a mere less than 5 minutes walk from Dumbreck Station. Furthermore, it does not cost more than 2 pounds and 10 minutes to take a train to Glasgow Central Station.
Clean & Comfortable bedroom with Big & Clean Bathroom.
We took a relaxing stroll from the quiet Sherbrooke Residential, cutting through North Wood to The Burrell Collections.
Breakfast selections were great too. Friendly Staff. Definitely enjoyed my stay throughout.
It's a pity we did not spend more time in the hotel as we were out shopping in Glasgow Centre.

Had a fantastic stay at the sherbrroke Castle. From the minute I arrived the service was great and I must say the 4 Poster Bedroom and Roll Top bath was great. The castle was warm and so were the staff. The food in nthe restaurant was great for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A 5 min walk takes you to dumbreck station which then takes you into glasgow for less than 2.00gbp.

I would not stay at any other horel now as it was simply fantastic, we had one night in the Hilton but nothing compared to the sherbrooke.

Room Tip: Perfect for getting away from it all a retreat in the city that made me feel i was miles away.
