We regularly stay at the Glasgow Hilton and the service is what you would expect from a Hilton, unlike the The Metropole NEC and other Hilton hotels throughout the UK. From the front of house staff on reception who can't do enough for you through to the Concierge who are definitely the best in the UK. They go out of their way to help you park, and are so helpful in every way possible - well done guys!
The restaurant offers a Table D'Hote menu if you are staying and make sure you purchase vouchers at reception before dining. The chef can cook here, unlike so many other Hiltons where the food is disgusting.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 Stars is the Exec Lounge Bar is horrible, it is in an airless, windowless room at the end of the corridor to the left of the main entrance. The staff are seldom available, unhelpful and the food snack offerings are dreadful, tired and tasteless. They still offer spirits here, (unlike the Hilton Metropole at the NEC, which is privately owned), but please try and do better on the snacks, they are truely awful. Also the Exec rooms are looking tired and to my knowledge the rooms have not been updated for some years and the bathrooms are very tired.More
