“Perfect location but sadly thats it”

I stopped in this hotel last night. Totally perfect location for the shops and nice restaurants and Bars but sadly thats all I can say thats positive. This Hotel is extreamly tired. The food menu is quite restrictive and the room service breakfast had no choice of hot food. My room was extreamly small with a cracked sink and filler over the taps in the bath. My Queen bed was actually two beds pushed together with quite a large ridge in the middle which is quite off putting when you rolled downhill in the middle of the night. I am up in glasgow a lot and I am sad to say that I would not stop here again,even though the location was excelent.

I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We are in the process of reviewing the current menu offering and are hoping to have a new menu launched in May.
Guests who opt to take a room service breakfast are normally early departures and as such only require continental items, regrettably we are unable to offer hot items on a room service breakfast 24 hours.
We have been able to identify the room you stayed in and I am pleased to report that the problem with the bed has been resolved, however, it should not have been the case.
I do hope that you will decide to return to Mercure Glasgow City in the future.

We had aquired the companies club card expecting some benefits but staff didn't seem to know, Got to hotel slightly early at 1.40 room not ready told booking in time was 2.00 we got into a room at 3.00. We thought the card got us a better than average room but the room was only average at best. Wanted to watch formula 1 on bar tv befor room being ready wasn't possible to change channels at reception. Our next hotel was Premier inn so much better

I was very surprised to learn that you encountered problems when trying to present your Le Club Card at the hotel.
Depending on the level of your card, there are several benefits that may apply including welcome drinks, upgraded rooms (subject to availability) and late check out times.
I have passed your comments to front office manger to form part of re training with the team to ensure consistency with service delivery.
I am sorry for these issues you encountered, I do hope that it has not put you off returning to Mercure Glasgow City at a future date.
