Spend the weekend in Glasgow as had read good things about the West End. The Belhaven is in a great location just a 5 minutes walk from the shops, bars and coffee shops, which are all very good. Parking is free in the streets around the Belhaven, although there is talk that the Council might impose a charge soon.

As far as the hotel goes, it cannot be faulted. The staff are really helpful if you have any questions on Glasgow and they are really hardworking. Breakfast was in the spacious bar area and was good, with a hot choice as well as cereal, fruit, yogurt to help yourself to. Room was clean and spacious. Just be aware there is no lift as this is a big old house, with rooms spread over first and second floors.

When working away from home you need a friendly hotel and Belhaven is certainly this. I stayed with them every week from April until mid Aug 2016. Fantastic staff willing to have a chat, clean rooms. Only down side is if you want facilities to make your own tea and coffee these arent available as standard but you can add them if you wish.
For the tourist Hotel is sighted near some of Glasgow's attractions and the food and shopping thrills of Byres road is at the end of the street.

Should I visit Glasgow again either for business or pleasure I'll give them a ring first

We stayed here on the night of our wedding. It's a lovely hotel located conveniently close to Byres Road. As it was a special occasion we returned to our room to a bottle of bubbly which was a lovely gesture from the hotel. The room was clean, well equipped and very spacious. The breakfast was great too.

I miss the bed... it was a very comfortable bed.
Ok ok, there are other good things as well. People working there are very polite... sometimes people take this for granted but it makes a big difference. The breakfast is good with just the buffet really, but it is also good that you have some options if you would rather eat a hot meal for breakfast. Also, the rooms are very clean, which is a very important thing, and the internet works quite well.
I guess there are downsides like sometimes I could hear noise from the other rooms, but it was really not a problem... and there is no lift.
Nevertheless, the price-quality ratio is very good. Glasgow is expensive in comparison with other parts of Europe, though perhaps not so much in the U.K. Regardless, this place has a better price and it makes for a very comfortable a nice place to stay.
Location depends on what you plan to do in Glasgow... it is not in the city centre, but it is close enough to Kelvingrove Gallery and, of course, to the Botanic Gardens. It is also quite close to the University so if you have things to do there this is a great option. I would stay there again for sure... and the bed really is very comfortable.

We visited Glasgow for a long weekend and stayed in the premium room at the Belhaven. The room was huge, with sofa and big tv, plus a twin jacuzzi bath. Unfortunately the bath took a very long time to fill, not at all helped by the fact that the bath plug didn't fit snugly and water was running out all the time. Once the bath was full it was necessary to keep foot on plug in order to keep the water in. I did report this problem on leaving so hopefully it is now sorted.
The cooked breakfast was good and there was the usual range of boxed cereals, tinned fruit, toast, jams and the occasional fresh banana or orange in a bowl.
Our room was at the top of the hotel which wasn't a problem as we are quite fit. It was in a good place for exploring the botanic garden and we ate out in the fashionable 'Ashton Lane' area which is also quite nearby.
The receptionist (Iva) was very friendly and helpful. A very pleasant stay.
An enjoyable st
