OK we booked this hotel as its a well known name and also as it's got a pool an we have 2 kids that love swimming. I have booked 2 nights janusry 2nd an 3rd 2022 and I am writing this review just after the first nights stay an its been a major let down I have just got up to a card under our door to say the pool is shut down no reason. Also the bathroom is very dated the silicone around the bath an tiles have dirty marks and cracked tiles. The hotel has alot of banging doors i get it the hotel is busy but if the door closers are set right hhere shiuldnt be banging to keep people up .. I am very disappointed as we have been looking forward to this stay but I wish we had stayed at our normal hotel in Glasgow also it would of been far better called for money ..

Hotel recommended by family to stay for Christmas holiday. Brilliant service throughout our stay. Hotel very clean and inviting and staff made you feel welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast had plenty of choice and food in the restaurant for lunch or dinner good value for money. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Hotel location is central with only a short walk to Buchanan Shopping Centre and Buchanan Street (main shopping and restaurant area) The hotel was great as it has its own car park which is reasonably priced with plenty of spaces available.

Hotel was clean and housekeeping was carried out daily. Staff are friendly and attentive.

This is one of the few hotels that were able to provide a bed for my 10 year old rather than the standard sofa bed, so this was a big bonus.

I would definitely revisit again

Room tip: Ample parking. Close to lots of amenities, within walking distance

After an enjoyable first time stay at this hotel in June, we decided to book again. However, it was far from enjoyable this time around! When checking in, we weren’t asked if we had a car with us or how much it cost to park the car, we had to ask ourselves! No information given about the spa etc. The room was fairly clean apart from the dirty marks on the coving above the bed which looked like a drink had been thrown over it. We had dinner and drinks booked at a restaurant and bar in the city centre, it was cold and wet so we decided to cancel our reservations and have dinner/drinks in the hotel (The Brisket). My partner asked at reception if it is advised to book a table and he was told it was a walk in service and they do not take bookings. We went down to the restaurant only to stand at the entrance for a couple of minute waiting to be seated, instead members of staff walked past and never gave us a look at. I eventually approached a member of staff and asked if there was a table for two, she passed me one menu and said “here’s a menu, sit wherever you want and someone will be over” I was extremely taken back by the poor quality of service. We noticed two empty tables which had a sign on them saying ‘reserved’ after us being told you could not book a table. The only tables left were high tables, I had a dress with heels on therefore it was not even an option to sit there, we then had to leave the restaurant. At 8 o’clock, we were then left to phone around restaurants to try and get a last minute reservation, which luckily we managed to get one! Very disappointing and humiliating. Room 609.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the DoubleTree by Hilton for one night on Monday 20th December. We stayed in an executive room (833), which was at the end of the corridor and therefore very quiet. The room was clean and comfortable, although quite cold as the heating was off - a small suggestion would be to ensure that this on before people arrive, especially if you have already checked in. The staff in the hotel were very welcoming and helpful and made you feel valued guests. We were extremely impressed by the service in the executive lounge and would have no hesitation in returning to Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Glasgow Central.
