We stayed in two rooms as a party of 3 people on 25th November. The rooms were very clean, though quite cold and no radiators working. The beds were very comfortable and the staff friendly enough. We ate in a room just off the champagne bar and the food was good, if a tad slow to be served! The breakfast was very busy but we managed to time it right to find a table being cleaned as we walked in. I did feel the food and hot drinks were far apart which entailed eating our breakfast before we got tea to ensure the food was still warm enough to eat.
My greatest disappointment was that we stayed there using special birthday vouchers bought for me and just before lockdown - in the meantime my friend's husband developed terminal cancer , hence just 3 of us being there. During all of this my friend was in communication with the manager Allan, who promised an exceptional stay for us. There was a note in each of our bedrooms but other than that, nothing! I was very disappointed for her - a little extra attention would have gone a long way to helping her to better enjoy the night away.More
