This is a great hotel in a great location. The rooms are practical and quite stylish albeit quite small. It has a really relaxed atmosphere and staff very helpful and friendly.
Highly recommended!

We went to stay at citizen m based on customer reviews, but after our stay we were really disappointed. Check in, lobby bar all fine but the room was tiny, resembled a caravan and was grubby. The shower floor had dirty feet marks on it, the mirror had what looked like tooth paste marks on it and the sink was covered in hair. There was no tea/coffee facilities in room ( i have never seen this in any hotel EVER) nor did it have functioning heating. The moodpad was totally over rated and the tv took ages to change from channel to channel had only a handful of CLEAN films, thought if you are a porn lover had plenty to choose from. The courtyard view was laughable and looked onto what seemed to be a dumping ground full of skips and rubbish. I paid £100 for this room and would rather have slept in my car totally overrated and underwhelming unhappy 'citizen'. Definately would not recommend and would advise others who were comsidering staying her not to bother.

Hi “G21obr”

I feel disappointed citizenM didn’t live up to you.

I will leave the observations regarding room design to you as each one has its own preferences but I’m very sorry that the cleanliness of the room was faulty, by any means this should have happened. Your comments was shared with our HK personnel, all rooms must be sparkling clean at all times. Although I understand we missed out, warning an Ambassador straight away would have led to exchanging the room for you.

Just like you don’t have a kettle in your own room at home, it is the same at citizenM. The canteenM downstairs is your kitchen, open 24/7 for anything you might need, from a fresh Italian coffee prepared by baristas to tea and other options of fresh food & beverages

Wish you safe travels.

All the best,
citizenDiego

I stayed here for my cousins wedding and it was great. Not wanting to spend hours in my room it was big enough for what I needed with all the things I expect froma hotel ( free wi-fi, movies, etc).

This place will not appeal to everyone, especially those who are to stupid to fend for themselves and need a 24hr concierge to pander to their every need. For the rate you payit is great and the staff were friendly and genuinely interested in what you were doing (so uncommon in many large chain hotels). I will stay in other CitizenM's when the opportunity presentes itself.

Top job guy's, top job. Thank you!

Citizen M is a super cool hotel. Loved the free movies and great selection of art books which kept me entertained while I waited for my train during a rainy afternoon. The location was great too- walking distance of almost everywhere. The room was fine for me on my own but did not provide much privacy if I'd been sharing with someone and I did not ever get the hang of the room's remote control. I wish there'd been more personal interaction at check in and out as I did feel like I was at the self service counter at Tesco which wasn't great considering the amount of money I was spending. But everyone I did encounter was lovely and friendly. Oh the rooms are really quiet too and so comfortable. It was a fun experience overall.

Stayed for one night at the Citizen M as it looked central, stylish and reasonably priced. It was all three and more. I was a bit thrown by the self check-in. But the staff are on hand to help and advise. The room we had was large, chic (loved the Eames chaise longue) with a great comfy bed, brilliant shower, wifi and the remote controlled lights and blinds might be a bit gimicky, but I loved them. It has got exactly what you need from a hotel experience. My only gripe: the bathroom is one giant wetroom and it was a bit tricky keeping the water from spreading under the shower curtain.

But if you're after tea-making facilities, patterned carpet and a trouser press in your room then this isn't for you. There's a Holiday Inn down the street for that.

Room Tip: Book early and ask for a corner room - you'll get views in two directions.
