I recently stayed here for 1 night on a girls trip with my mum. We usually just stay at the Premier Inn but fancied something a little different as it was my birthday.
Pros:
Beautiful reception and bar area.
Friendly, pleasant staff.
Requested a high room, got the top floor (room 1247) with a fantastic view across the city.
Very comfortable, large bed. Zero noise pollution.
Cons:
Really Small room - I paid £84 for 1 night (a Thursday) and would have hoped for a slightly bigger room. The bed took up about 90% of the space.
No mini fridge - I know this is a minor complaint but for the price a wee fridge would have been nice, just to keep my water cold.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Motel One. However if I was looking for a nice, 'slightly more luxurious then the Premier Inn' stay in Glasgow I'm not sure I would return here. Saying that, most other hotels in the city centre cost over £100 so I'm maybe being too ambitious. More
