“A Really Nice Place to Stay!!”
Reviewed 4 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We just returned from a two week vacation to Scotland and London. My husband and I traveled with another couple and Bag End Cottage was perfect for us for the Scotland portion of our trip! Mark was very nice, helpful and communicated well throughout the entire booking process. He was equally kind and helpful to us during our stay there. The "cottage" is not really a cottage at all. It's a house! With three bedrooms and a full bath upstairs, along with a wonderful, well-stocked kitchen, dining room, den/living room and a half-bath downstairs, we had plenty of room to spread out. The house/cottage was immaculate, stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need and a very comfortable accommodation for the four of us. It sits in a quiet village, but it's just a short drive into Cupar where you can find plenty of places to eat, shop, get groceries....even catch a train! The house/cottage served as a perfect home-base for us as we spent time in St. Andrew's, Dundee, Carnoustie, Perth, the East Neuk fishing villages, and took a lovely drive up the coast to Stonehaven. All easy day trips from Bag End. If you want to be in the "middle of it all", then Bag End is not for you. But if you want a nice, quiet, retreat, with easy access to the busier areas around Fife and beyond, then Bag End will not disappoint!

Kudos to Mark for making Bag End a great place to relax and enjoy our vacation. We would not hesitate to return there if we ever make it back to Scotland.
