Food, wine and service all first class. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, not at all stuffy.
As my wife is pregnant, the tasting menu was adapted to ensure she could eat everything. This was done without fuss which as a result really made her feel comfortable that everything put in front of her was fine to eat.
The food itself was fantastic and obviously very fresh, we even got to meet our lobster before he was put in the pot! The staff were all very knowledgable and able to give details of what we were eating, where it was sourced and why the chosen wine matched the food so well.
In my opinion, The Kitchin along with Restaurant Martin Wishart are the stand out restaurants in the Leith area and both are well worth a visit when in the Edinburgh area.
