“Great base to explore the delights of Edinburgh”

A lovely and well appointed apartment with everything you need. Front windows look right out onto the Royal Mile. Comfortable, warm, clean and tastefully decorated. Ideally situated to explore the Old Town as well as travelling further afield. Within ten minutes walk of Waverley Station and on a bus route that takes you to the Ocean Terminal (make sure you have the correct money for the bus fare!). Easy access to plenty of shops, places to eat, bars and pubs, tours, museums and galleries. Owners very helpful and welcomed us personally on arrival (something that is often rare in the holiday rental market these days). This is a third floor apartment and up a circular staircase (no elevator) so bear that in mind when booking.
Highly recommended and will certainly come again.

“Convenient and preferable alternative to a hotel”
Reviewed 26 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We have just enjoyed a 5 night stay in Edinburgh. The rental was perfect for our needs, being central, well equiped and , in our opinion, a great alternative to a hotel room.

There was so much to do in Edinbutgh that we will probably make a return visit in the future. We would definately hope to stay at Tweedale Court again.

“Wonderful Place to Stay!”

We loved our stay. The apartment was great! Great locations. Pictures were true except for the kitchen was smaller than pictures but didn't have any impact on us what so ever...it had everything in it.
It was nice to come back after a day of walking, touring to a place where we could relax and feel at home. We even cooked and sat on the balcony with our wine which was nice.
We like fresh air when we sleep...it can be a bit noisy on a Sat,Sun but the rest of the week quiet.

Kate and Stephen, the owners were great! So accommodating.
We would highly recommend this place BUT just know there's a lot of stairs to climb.

Thank you Kate, Stephen for a great place to call home.

“Wonderful stay”
Reviewed 24 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

My wife and I stayed here for 6 days and the location is great. The flat was very clean and efficient for us. We met Kate her husband and their 2 little ones. Nice wonderful family. The flat is easy walking distance too many areas of Edinburgh. We like to sleep with the bedroom windows open but at night you get the late night pub crawlers and vehicles that kept us awake so we had to close the windows and it got a little stuffy in our bedroom.
Overall I would highly recommend this flat. Thank you Kate

Thanks so much for your kind review. We're so sorry you found it a bit stuffy; lack of breeze isn't often a problem in Edinburgh! Being right on the Royal Mile, we put in secondary glazing to keep any noise out, but of course that means it also keeps out the air. When we lived there we would open the bathroom window for fresh air, which is at the back (and quiet). However it is a really good point you make and we will provide a fan to keep things fresh, but any noise out! Many thanks and I hope you will come again. With kind regards Kate and Stephen
