The Hotel is located on a very nice place. In front of it you have an open view from Leith Links parks. Incredible. The bus-stop to go to the oldtown is just in front of the hotel's door.
The room are clean, the bed is big and everyday coffee and butter cookies at the room.
James and Dora are very nice and helpfull.
We loved the oldtown but I tell you life in Leith is quit a bit different. We loved to walk their streets up and down and have lunch and dinner and specially getting into the great pubs we found there.
Hope to be back soon.

We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and naturally we agree about Leith! There are some excellent local cafes, bars and restaurants. Our butter cookies are made locally and it's the best shortbread we've ever tasted.
We like to think that we live in a sweet spot: close enough to the city centre to reach it in 15 minutes on the bus, and far away enough to park for free.
We hope to welcome you back to enjoy sunny Leith.

Crioch is the best choice when you are staying in Edinburgh for a few days. It is close to the centre when you take a bus. The owners are very kind and helpful. The rooms are cosy and comfortable. One of best places I stayed at when I was travelling across Scotland.

Thank you for your comments. We try hard to give people a more personal experience than the branded hotels. We'd love to see you again in Edinburgh - come back soon!

A very pleasant stay for two nights, very accommodating being short notice also. Breakfast was really nice, a very clean and well presented room, James is a really nice guy. Will certainly be staying there again and would highly recommend
Thanks

Comfortable, clean bedrooms, with everything you needed provided. Both Dora and James were lovely and really helpful, nothing too much trouble.Even getting up early to cook breakfast one day as we had early trip.James provided us with lots of information and a map of local area.
Good location on a regular bus route and walking distance to a number of pubs and restaurants.

Room Tip: No lift so if you find stairs difficult ask for a second floor room as not as many stairs. The area is quiet.

The bedroom and ensuite bathroom were clean and well appointed. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was substantial and to order. James and Dora were welcoming, friendly and helpful with local information and conversation. Safe and easy stairs to the upper floor. We stayed 3 nights and recommended it to our daughter and her husband who stayed a few nights later. Good value for the location. Very handy for the number 25 bus.

Room Tip: Our room was up two flights of stairs and we had a view to the rear of the house. Probably quieter than the East Hermitage side.
