The bedroom and ensuite bathroom were clean and well appointed. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was substantial and to order. James and Dora were welcoming, friendly and helpful with local information and conversation. Safe and easy stairs to the upper floor. We stayed 3 nights and recommended it to our daughter and her husband who stayed a few nights later. Good value for the location. Very handy for the number 25 bus.

Room Tip: Our room was up two flights of stairs and we had a view to the rear of the house. Probably quieter than the East Hermitage side.

James is the sweetest! He's very friendly and a lovely host. Dora is lovely as well. Rooms are cosy and well equipped. Breakfast is delicious, location is very good and a great value of money. I definitely recommend it.

Just returned from a very relaxing 3 night stay in Edinburgh and I would definitely stay here again. The room & ensuite bathroom was spotless, the decoration was modern & fresh, bed was very comfortable, plus a lovely breakfast served with cafetiere of coffee. With free wifi, flat screen tv I could watch in bed and a bus direct to the city centre outside the front door, it offered everything i needed! James and Dora are friendly hosts, who are doing a fab job of running this B & B.

From the moment we arrived Dora and James made us feel very welcome. Our family room was lovely. Breakfast is great. Parking is on street just in front of the guest house and was no problem for our two nights. Location is great too. Leith is a short bus ride into Edinburgh city centre and the bus stop is literally outside the front door. Royal Yacht Britannia is not far away too and there are plenty of good eating places nearby. Dora and James were always around for a chat or to advise on any aspect of our visit. Highly recommend Crioch and thank our hosts for helping to make our stay such an enjoyable one.

Finally I found some time to THANK BOTH OF YOU. THANKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HOSPITALITY. IT WAS EXCELLENT. Your B&B was so CLEAN, NEAT AND COMFORTABLE. MY husband is quite concerned about his sleeping and the beds he sleeps on. HE said the BEDS at Your B&B were also VERY GOOD and COMFORTABLE. Stayed here for 2 nights, as we were in Edinburgh for three days only.

They both know lots of GOOD PLACES TO DINE and also Where to go. The Bus Stop is just in front of the B&B and get to the City in 12 minutes.

The bathrooms were also VERY CLEAN. The Breakfast prepared by you, James and Dora was FRESH and HEALTHY, and you Offered so much.

The cookies in the room are very tasty and quality too

Please do not hesitate to contact us and you both can stay with us too, if ever you visit Toronto, Canada, as you both have very nice, we would like to be your Hosts in Canada,. We do not Have a B&B, but you both can Stay with us in our house when you visit Canada.

By the way, Thanks very much for the Short Bread Cookies. Haven't had them yet, as I am waiting to share them with someone special.

Have a Very Good Day,

Cecil and Dinalee Fernando from Canada

Room Tip: Call James, and he will know to give you the best room as he knows which is good for which person, although ALL THEIR ROOMS ARE EXCELLENT.
