This hotel is beautiful, very smooth and friendly check in, room was beautiful, very well decorated, very clean and they even have ghd straighteners which is a really plus. We had the dinner bed and breakfast package and both dinner and breakfast were excellent.

The only thing that would put me off going back was the noise, we stayed in room 8 at the back of the hotel on the first floor and were awoken at 5am by very noisy seagulls at the bins below then at about 7am there was noisy lorries not sure if they were at the hotel or another property near by. I fully understand in a city centre location you are never going to have the quietest of stays but this was an very unwelcome wake up call. If we stay again I will ask not to stay in one of the rooms at the rear of the hotel.

2nd time here and once again it did not disappoint. Edinburgh was jumping as Madonna was playing at Murrayfield. Check in was smooth, beautiful room with lots of lovely touches. Loaded ipod, nice minibar selection, even a lime for a wee gin and tonic. Nice toiletries, hairdryer and straighters provided for the ladies. Drinks in the bar were lovely and we even ventured downstairs to the club where we had complementary admission and access to the VIP bar. Nice choice of differnt things on the breakfast menu too- I had the omlette with smoked haddock which was delish. TIgerlily is the best hotel in Edinburgh, it wins hands down. Will definately be back.

Room Tip: All are lovely.

I had read the reviews and thought this sounds too good to be true (yes, I am a cynic!), but I could not fault this hotel. We got this through a daily deal website, but we were treated like VIPs from the minute we walked through the door. The rooms were so tastefully decorated and so spacious and comfortable. Nothing was too much bother for the staff and the atmosphere in the bar, restaurant and nightclub was amazing. It really is idyllic and such a relaxing hotel in the heart of the city!!! We are already planning our next visit.

From the moment we walked through the door I knew this was a special hotel, it immediately seems lavish, and is very well presented however it wasn’t at all pretentious as the staff were so down to earth and friendly. The staff were so accommodating and thoughtful, they let us check in at 8.30 am at no extra charge and showed us to the room.
We booked last minute and had no option but the superior room. It was impeccable, an enormous soft bed, flatscreen tv, DVD player, an ipod with an impressive amount of music on it, ipod dock with speakers (charges ur iphone) complimentary fruit plate, water, tea coffee (real coffee) selection of teas, hot chocolate, hand made biscuits, white company toiletries, candles, fluffy bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer and GHD hair straightners! well stocked mini bar, they even provide a lime! an Ice bucket which was filled in the evening without us asking.
The staff here understand escapism, they set a beautiful ambience and really take care of their guests which is a rare luxury.
The bar seems a bustling up market cocktail bar type haunt on a Saturday night however we were able to sink into a booth and be secluded enough to relax over a nice glass of wine. The restaurant was fully booked and seemed to be a number of locals there which is always a good sign. Sunday breakfast is served until 6pm for residents! I thought this was a wonderful idea and it was superb, I had traditional eggs Benedict cooked to perfection and my partner the cooked breakfast which was equally as good.
All in all the hotel is not cheap, however the atmosphere, surroundings and staff really made our stay much more relaxing and special than I had anticipated. For this reason I believe it was well worth the money,I will certainly be back!

Suite was large well decorated with toiletries as expected.
Shower /wet room area was very large but could of done with some side jets or more than one over head spray. The view was only into other rooms.
Evening meal was good but not a restaurant for a quiet meal, the restaurant and bar are all the one area with loud music playing.Wine list was reasonable.
Breakfast menu had a good choice but unfortunately the service was awful, we waited 40 minutes for a second cup of coffee which still never arrived even though we asked another two staff.
Cocktails and drink was pricey in a very crowded bar.
Excellent location for visiting the centre o f Edinburgh.
Not suitable at all for children. Would suit young couples.

Room Tip: We visited on a promotional deal and only a suite was available at a £50 upgrade, this was also the...
